Prelim Entries for those competing in Area 5 Qualifier
Pre-entries must be made for every team and/or individual entering any qualifier and completed by a senior club representative (or by an individual BRC Member) to the BRC Office 21 days before the area qualifier, with appropriate fees.
Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the organiser. Team managers must contact the organiser to seek permission for a late entry in the first instance to see if there is space. Late pre entries must be made online and will be subject to a £10 surcharge per individual and £20 per team. Posted or emailed pre-entries will not be accepted until payment has been received. When posting separately please ensure payment is sent in good time for the closing date. If received after the closing date the entry/entries may be subject to late fee charges. Pre-entry forms can be found on the BRC website on the BRC downloads page. Or you may enter online using the BRC entry system https://brc.bhs.org.uk/select
There will be no return of pre-entry fees however a credit note may be issued at the discretion of BRC providing the request is sent in before the closing date of pre-entries.
Your horse must have up to date Influenza vaccinations in line with rule G7 in the current BRC Rulebook.
(Within 6 months and 21 days of the competition, and not within 7 days of the event)

Entry Fee: All Classes £ 82.50 per rider, includes £18.50 Start fee.
Start fees go towards paramedic cover & Onsite Farrier.
Late entries accepted if space – surcharge of £10.00 extra.

ALL CLUBS SENDING A TEAM TO THE QUALIFIER MUST PLEASE PROVIDE AT LEAST 2 HELPERS FOR THE DAY

Terms & Conditions

GENERAL RULES ALL CLASSES

Horse/ponies must be 5 years or older.

HAT STANDARDS All hats must have a visible PINK BRC hat tag in place before they are used for warming up and competing. There will be a trained steward available on the day that will be carrying out hat tagging if your hat does not already have a tag.

BODY PROTECTORS: A body protector is obligatory in all cross-country competitions and is strongly recommended in show jumping competitions. A BETA Level 3 (purple label) which has been manufactured in the year 2009 or 2018 (blue label) must be worn. Body protectors should be fitted and worn as per the manufacturers instructions. The up to date BETA list of body protectors can be obtained from www.beta-uk.org.

If a rider chooses to wear an airbag style body protector it must be worn over a permitted body protector and if activated, must be deflated or removed before continuing. Hybrid Air-jackets are permitted.

Riders wearing Exo Body Cage (2000) protectors must inform the secretary at all events.

Back protectors must be presented to the official steward for checking when declaring.

The uses of HEAD CAMS are strictly prohibited. This includes use on the head, chest, bridle or any other part of the horse or rider.

Medical armbands are optional but must be worn on the arm & filled out with up-to-date information.

Stop watches are allowed.

Riders need to print and bring their numbers with them.

Bibs not provided.

 Tack and Dress Rules

Please make sure you adhere to tack and dress rules found in the current version of the BRC rules. The full 2023 version is available to download online.

Any horse or pony, which is considered by a Judge, Organiser or Steward to be unsound, unfit or unhealthy, will be excluded from further competition without any refund of entry fee.

ATV (quad bikes) and electric/motor-bikes are not permitted at Moreton Morrell, unless specifically authorised by the Organisers.

Non-competing/travel companions are not to be left unaccompanied, the organiser/secretary must be made aware of any horses/ponies onsite which are not competing.

No horses are to be left unattended tied to a trailer or horse box at any time.

You will be required to print and bring your bib numbers with you.

OBJECTIONS:

Objections must be made in writing to the Secretary within half an hour of the incident together with a £50 deposit. The deposit will be forfeited if the objection is not sustained. After this the score cannot be changed.

HEALTH and SAFETY STATEMENT

For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.

The Organisers reserve the right to: Cancel any class or section; Divide any class; Transfer competitors between sections of a class; Alter the advertised times, and Refuse any entry.
