Competitors to print their own number ( a link will be available with start times) and bring to the event.  2 numbers are required for the number bib plus a third number to be displayed in fromt of vehicle with contact number please.  Paper tie on numbers will be available if required.

Courses may only be walked on the day.

Please report to the dressage arena steward 20 minutes before your dressage test for tack inspection, after your dressage test you will proceed directly to the showjumping phase

Eridge Branch of the Pony Club Mini Express Eventing - Individuals Only

Open to All Pony Club Members

30cm, 40cm, 50 cm , 60cm - lead rein and assisted sections at lower heights

Cross country phase will be in enclosed arena for classes 1 - 3 with a partly non-enclosed area for class 4

all heights are approximate

This event is designed to allow riders to experience competing in a One Day Event in a relaxed setting with an experienced instructor on hand to provide guidance 

Riders will wear Cross Country kit for all 3 phases and will move from dressage to showjumping to cross country with only a brief break between each phase

Entries close Wednesday 24 May 2023  or earlier if full - early entry advisable as numbers will be limited

NO DOGS allowed on the Pony Club field at any time including within vehicles.  Please ensure all gates are kept closed as Eridge Park is a deer park.

 IMPORTANT:  In order to meet conditions stipulated by the Eridge Park Estate, any horse entering Eridge Park must not have been fed GM feeds or supplements, or received Ivermectins (wormers) for a minimum of 48 hours prior to entering Eridge Park.  Your entry indicates acceptance of these conditions.

Entries in advance only via the Secure Online Entry System.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to Eridge Pony Club.
You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment - it is your responsibility to check receipt of confirmation email.

Prize Information

Prizegiving will take place approx 30 minutes after the end of the class at the yellow Eridge Pony Club gazebo - competitors should be dressed in competition attire

Rosettes:                 1st - 6th plus  Best Dressage.  

Prizes  in kind:         1st - 3rd

Dressage sheets will be available for collection at prizegiving.

 

Refreshments:

 A selection of cold drinks and snacks will be available

 

Withdrawals/Refunds

 In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beond our control £3 per competitor will be withheld to cover costs

Entries will not be refunded after the closing date unless a Doctor's or Vet's certificate is produced within 7 days of withdrawal

Terms & Conditions

It is a condition of entry that all competitors read and abide by the following rules:

PLEASE STATE BRANCH IN COMMENTATORS NOTES

This event will br run under the Pony Club Eventing Rules 2023  www.pcuk.org  amended to allow all phases to be ridden in cross country kit

Ponies must not exceed 14.2hh

No horse or pony may compete more than once.  Horses/ponies must be at least 5 years old.  On;y horses/ponies competing may attend and no one other than the competitor may ride the horse/pony at the event.

All horses/ponies must have been vaccinated against Equine Flu in the last 12 months but not within the 7 days clear preceding the event.  All entries to be made in passport name  - please bring passport as there may be spot checks on day

Horses/ponies must not be left tied unattended to a lorry/trailer at any time

Rider ages taken as at 1 January 2023

Hats must meet current Pony Club standards and must be worn at all times when mounted with chinstrap fastened.  Hats must be tagged with current pink PC tag - please try to have your hat tagged by your Branch ahead of the event.

Body Protectors must be worn for the cross country phase but are optional for dressage and show jumping.   The body protector must meet the BETA 2009 Level 3 standard ( purple label) or BETA 2018 Level 3 standard ( blue & black label)  If using an air jacket a body protector must be worn underneath.

Hairnets to be worn if hair length is below the nape of the neck.  No jewellery or piercings allowed.  Please refer to the PC Eventing Rules 2023 to ensure that your tack and dress is allowed eg grass reins, balance reins. 

Any Pony Club legal bit allowed

The dressage test ,may be commanded in ALL classes.  Classes 1 and 2:  PC Walk and Trot Test 2022,  Classes 3 and 4:  PC Introductory Dressage Test 2019

Neither the showjumping or cross country phases are timed in ALL classes

Only padded batons compliant with British Showjumping criteria - see PC Whip Rules - are allowed for Showjumping and Cross Country phases.   

If eliminated in the Show jumping phase you will only be allowed to go cross country if considered safe by the show jumping judges 

The judges' decision is final.

The organisers reserve the right to alter or cancel classes

No mucking out of lorries/trailers.  Please pick up dropiings and hay in the lorry park and take all litter home with you.

Absolutely no dogs allowed in the Park

 a) Save for the death or personal injury caused by negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or THe Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies , or the landlord or his tenant, accpets any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators. land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever,  Entries are only accepted on this basis.

b) The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents.  They must obey the instructions of the organsiers and all officials and stewards.
