CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Entries are accepted and admission granted only subject to the following conditions, which are deemed to have been accepted by each competitor.
1. Health & Safety - Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
2. Legal Liability - Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
3. Rules - This competition will be run in accordance with Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2023 and BS where stated. It is the responsibility of all competitors to know the rules.
4. Horse Vaccinations - No horse/pony may take part unless it has a Record of Vaccination against equine influenza which complies with the requirements set out in the Pony Club Vaccination Rules 2023.
5. Dress & Tack Safety - All riding hats must conform to the Pony Club Health & Safety Rulebook 2023 and must be tagged with a pink tag. 6. Objections - The judge’s decision is final in all matters. The Organisers reserve the right to cancel, add or amend any of the conditions or competitions, as they think fit and to refuse entry at their discretion. Any objection must be made to the secretary with a deposit of £15 not later than 20 minutes after the incident, which will be refunded if the objection is upheld.
7. Refusal of Entries - The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry without stating a reason for doing so and reserve the right to eliminate any competitor who in their opinion places her/himself or others in danger or fails to observe rules.
8. Refunds - Entry fees will only be refunded on production of a vet or doctor’s certificate presented in advance of the competition.
9. Event Cancellation - In the event of cancellation, notification will be posted on the Wokingham PC website. Monies will be refunded less £5.00 per entry administration fee.
10. Horse Age - Horses or ponies must be 4 years or over on the day of the show.
On the day:
- Numbers: No numbers will be issued at the venue. Please use your own bib, bridle, or numnah numbers.
- Warm up - No horses/ponies may be ridden other than by the competitor on the day of the competition. We will have a limit on the number of riders allowed in the warm-up arena at any time.
- Lorry Park - No horses/ponies to be left unattended when tied to the lorry/trailer and all droppings/dropped hay and rubbish to be picked up and taken home.
- Dogs - All dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times
- Water – There is no running water on site so please ensure you bring your own supply
