Show Information

All Jumping Heights are approximate. Each class will include a round of show jumps followed by a timed section on the cross country course. Placing by combination who has the least jumping faults and is closest to the optimum time. Rosettes will be awarded from 1st to 8th, with prizes for winners in each class. To be run in accordance with Pony Club rules. Back protectors 2009, non-fixed peak hats and baton whips only.

 Important Information & Changes for Sunshine Tour 2023

Qualification is for competitors placed 1st – 3rd  in Show Jumping, Dressage, Showing and Eventers Challenge (placings do not pass down the line). Competitors will need to register each of their qualifications on the Sunshine Tour website and provide proof of placing

Terms & Conditions

RULES 1. This competition is run under Pony Club Eventing Rules for 2023 2. Hard hats/crash helmets with correctly fastened chin straps/harness should be worn at all times when mounted. 3. The Organisers reserve the right to amend or cancel as they see fit. Should the event be cancelled £5 from each class entry will be retained. 4. The decision of the judge is final. 5. Refunds will only be given if a medical or veterinary certificate is produced within 7 days of the competition. 6. Horses and ponies must be 5 years and over. 7. ALL CLASSES WILL HAVE A DRAWN ORDER 8. A rider and horse/pony combination may only compete in 2 consecutive heights and horses may only be ridden once in each class. 10. Grade A, JA ponies can enter as per PC SJ rules 2019 11. Competitors should be ready to enter the ring when called. In order to maintain the smooth running of the show, if after 1 minute they are not present, they may be eliminated. 12. Any rider who the organisers or judges consider to be riding dangerously or in an inconsiderate manner will be asked to leave the showground. 13. Any person who the organisers or judges consider to have misused either the whip or spurs will be asked to leave the showground. 14. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accept any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property. whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis. 15. Objections, accompanied by a deposit of £20, must be made in writing within 15 minutes to the secretary. 16. All horses or ponies brought to the showground must be up to date will all vaccinations. Please bring passports as you may be asked for them to verify this. In particular flu vaccinations should be in date and preferably in the last six months. 17. If you suspect that your horse/pony has been in contact with ANY infectious disease, please do not attend any event at this centre. 18. Practice jumps must be jumped from the correct side, failure to do so will result in the competitor being eliminated from the competition. 19. Horses / ponies must not be left unattended when tied up to boxes or trailers (or to any fencing) AT ANY POINT throughout the show. 20. Dogs, DRONES, bicycles, roller blades or similar are not permitted on the Showground or the car parking area. Dogs must be confined to the owner’s vehicle and kept on a lead in the lorry parking area. Dog mess is to be cleared up and poo bags taken home. POO BAGS ARE NOT TO BE LEFT AROUND. 21. No person shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, lessee, authorised agent or rider to compete or be prepared to compete in any show jumping or dressage competition without taking adequate precautions to ensure other members of the public are not put at risk of injury
