Chocolate Stakes – Accumulator with Joker points are awarded for each jump that is jumped clear, with the points increasing for each jump (i.e. Fence 1 = 1 point, fence 2 = 2 points) with the last fence having a ‘joker’ option, which can be up to 10cm higher than the rest of the fences, the joker scores extra points and also loses points if knocked down. The winner is the competitor that scores the most points in the fastest time.

Willy Wonka’s Challenge - starting at 70cm The course will comprise of 5 fences, each fence worth 10 points. The maximum score in any one round is 50 points. There will be 2 rounds and in each round each competitor will designate a fence to be raised (each jump can go up maximum of twice in each round). Round 3 will be against the clock for those with 100 points (or the top 5 combinations). A knock down and/or refusal will have 5 points deducted.

Show Information

 Pony/rider combinations may enter up to 4 classes. On Friday ponies may in addition with a different rider enter two

classes from 1, 2, 3 at the discretion of the committee based on pony welfare.

 Competitors cannot compete on the same pony on both days. Ponies may come both days with different riders.

 Non-Members (Juniors only) – are welcome to compete. A £10 non-member charge for the day, plus class entry fee

 Entries - entries to be made via My Riding Life by Sunday 2 April 2023

 Late Entries – late entries will be accepted on the day at a cost of £3.00 per class above the class fee

 The Pony Club reserves the right to refuse entry, limit entries, amalgamate, amend, cancel or close any class.

Dress: Show jackets, shirt and tie. Body protectors and martingales/leather neck straps are recommended. Hats must be to

standard and tagged (see below table) (Non-PC competitors:  If your hat is not tagged by BE/BD/BS, please ensure you

request a PC hat tag prior to mounting at the event)

 Tack should be in accordance with Pony Club Rules.

 Leading Rein Competitors must remain on the leading rein at all times when mounted and must be led by a responsible

person who is suitably dressed.

 The Pony Club reserves the right to refuse entry, limit entries, amalgamate, amend, cancel or close any class.

Bookings and payment in advance only. You can book using our Secure Online Entry System. Payment is secure and it goes directly to Jersey Drag Hunt Branch Of The Pony Club. You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment Entries to be made via My Riding Life by Sunday 2nd April 2023

is the competitor that scores the most points in the fastest time.

 Accumulator with joker – as for the accumulator, but the last fence will have a ‘joker’ option, which can be up to 10cm

higher than the rest of the fences, the joker scores extra points and also loses points if knocked down.

 Like for Like – ridden over two rounds, combination with the closest matching time between their 2 rounds and least faults

wins.

 Pairs box relay – the first competitor jumps half the course, must enter a square made by ground poles for the next

competitor to start and complete the course. The pair that complete the course the fastest will be the winners. It is £3 per

competitor. If you don’t have a pair you can enter and we will find you one.

 Challenge – Drawn order. The course will comprise of 5 fences, each fence worth 10 points. The maximum score in any one

NON-MEMBERS All non-Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third-party

cover. The Jersey Drag Hunt Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-

Members and their insurance will not cover you. Please provide evidence of your third-party cover.

HEALTH AND SAFETY Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of everyone

present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents

occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.

LEGAL LIABILITY Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are

in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these

bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners,

riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their

negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
