Entries open 1st March and close 5th May 2023. Pre-entry and drawn order only - Strictly no entries on the day.
90cm class to start 9:30am and 100cm class to follow (approx. 2pm)
Each entrant will receive two E-tickets and one lorry pass, they are to cover the competitor and groom/trainer. Lorry passes are only for vehicles transporting horses. E-tickets will be sent to the email provided on the entry form. All supporters must purchase tickets

Please note you do NOT have to be a member of British Eventing to compete in these classes
Competitors will jump a course of show jumps immediately followed by cross country fences and will finish with the last fence as a show jump, the Joker Fence which will be approximately 10cm higher that the rest of the course. If you knock the final joker fence you will incur 6 penalties.

General Info
The 90cm and 100 cm Arena Eventing is aimed at amateur competitors giving them a chance to compete at the prestigious Bramham ground. These are very popular classes that are grass-arena based competitions, held in the Obelisk Paddock over a testing course or show jumps and cross-country fences with a 10cm higher show jump to finish.
Please note: due to the popularity of these classes no horse or rider may compete more than once in each Arena Eventing Class

Please note: There is NO stabling available on site for our day classes.

Bramham International Horse Trials Arena Event competition, is now a qualifier for the Konsileo Insurance National Arena Eventing Championships, taking place at Eland Lodge on 26th 27th August 2023!!

Top 10 will qualify from each class.

Qualified competitors contact details will be passed to Katharine Martin in order to make contact after Bramham. Anyone not consenting to this, must notify the Bramham Secretary prior to the event.

 

Withdrawals/Refunds

In the case of withdrawal before 5th May 2023, a full refund minus processing fees will be issued.
Withdrawals after this date will incur a £10 administration fee if the competitor can be replaced from the waitlist, if no replacement no refund will be given

Terms & Conditions

This competition is run under Bramham International Horse Trials Rules. Each competitor is responsible for ensuring that they are conversant with these and the following
1. Horse/rider combinations must be confident in jumping the entered height 

2. Competitors must be at least 12years of age

3. No horse or rider may compete more than once in each arena eventing class. Horse/rider must not have competed at either CIC2*, CCI2* or higher in the 2022/2023 seasons.

4. All hats must be PAS 015 1998 or 2011 or VG1 01.040 2014-12 standard with a BSO Kitemark or Inspec IC Mark, or a similar standard helmet. A BETA approved and appropriately labelled Level 3 Body Protector with the year 2009 or after MUST BE WORN.

5. Cross country colours should be worn. No jewellery, watches or stopwatches allowed. No electronic recording devices are permitted on horse or rider

6. Tack and Saddlery must comply with British Eventing regulations

7. Paper Numbers will be provided – please bring your own number bibs

8. If a rider has a fall from their horse they must be seen by one of the designated medical staff

9. The judges’ decision is final. They may disqualify riders at any stage for dangerous riding, inappropriate behaviour or language, abuse of officials, misuse of whip or spurs, ill treatment of the horse or if in their opinion the horse is lame, sick or unfit to compete

10. Horses must be 5 years of age to compete and at least 137cm to compete in the 90cm and at least 142 cm in 100cm class

11. This is an unaffiliated event, no need to qualigy

12. There will be a drawn order and approximate start times will be given in advance of the day, the course will be open for walking shortly before the class starts and Friday evening

13. The winner will be the competitor with the lowest number of penalties. In the event of a tie, the winner will be the one closest to, but under the optimum time with a clear round

Flu Vaccination Requirements:
a) An initial Primary Course of two vaccinations must be given; the second vaccination must be administered within 21-92 days of the first vaccination. b) The first booster must be administered within 7 calendar months following the date of administration of the second vaccination of the Primary Course. c) In accordance with FEI regulations, all horses attending the Event at Bramham must have received a booster within 6 months +21 days (and not within 7 days) before arrival at the Event. d) Horses may attend Bramham 7 days after receiving the second vaccination of the primary course. e) Horses that have received the Primary Course prior to 1 January 2005 are not required to fulfil the requirement for the first booster, providing there has not been an interval of more than 12 months between each of their subsequent annual booster vaccinations and they have received a booster within 6 months +21 days (and not within 7 days) before arrival at the Event.

Health and Safety
The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure all the health and safety of everyone present, for these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
