There will be Senior and Junior sections where there are more than 4 Juniors in a class (18yrs on 1st Jan 2023).
To be run under BRC Rules 2023. NUMBERS are required - either print off using Number Generator on RRC website or use 2 bridle/numnah numbers
Skull caps to current BRC 2023 standard, with silk and harness properly adjusted, MUST be worn. Note recent changes - see p2 of Schedule on RRC website or BRC Rulebook for more detail.
Body protectors are mandatory. A BETA level 3 body protector with Purple 2009 or Blue 2009 label.
Horses may compete in a maximum of 2 different classes.
Clear rounds take precedence over anyone with jumping penalties. The course will consist of 2 parts,both jumped on a surface. The first part Show Jumps and the second part, which will be timed, Rustic and fixed Cross Country style fences. SJ phase: 4 penalties for knock down; 4 penalties for first refusal; 8 penalties for second and elimination for 3rd refusal. XC phase : 20 penalties for first refusal; 40 penalties for 2nd refisual and elimination for 3rd refusal. Fall of horse or rider elimination. Judges decision is final.
Non BRC members are welcome to compete but must have third party liability insurance through another body e.g. British Eventing, Pony Club or have proof of their own third-party liability insurance at the time of entry.
Only competitors are allowed to ride in the warm up and competition areas. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
