CLASSES IN THIS EVENT ARE QUALIFIERS FOR THE HICKSTEAD SUNSHINE TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP - Please see 'special classes' information for full details.

We look forward to receiving entries from Members and Non-members but unfortunately we cannot take entries on the day.

All results will go on our facebook page, website and myridinglife. 

Unfortunately refunds cannot be given once times have been allocated.

If any one class has four or more seniors and four or more juniors that compete, then the class will be split into a junior and senior section.

Less than four juniors and four seniors and the class will be juniors and seniors combined.

 

Special Classes

 This show is a qualifier for The Sunshine Tour Championships held at The All-England Showground, Hickstead from Thursday 14th – Sunday 17th September 2023. The Championships are for unaffiliated and amateur competitors in Dressage from Intro to Elementary, Show Jumping from Lead Rein to 1.05m; Showing for lead rein, in-hand, ridden, working hunter, veterans, plus many more, Eventer’s Challenge from 50cm through to 90cm.

 

Qualification: Dressage & Show Jumping 1st – 3rd place; Showing & Eventers Challenge 1st – 4th place. Qualification does not pass down the line.

Terms & Conditions

COMPETITION DETAILS:

Competitors will jump a course of show jumps, the second section of which will be timed.

There will be no more than 15 jumping fences in total. 

Stop watches are not permitted.

Clear rounds take precedence over anyone with jumping faults and the winner will have a clear round or the least penalties and the fastest time. 

The Judges’ decision is final.

Show jumping phase will be run under current BRC rules, 4 penalties for a knockdown, 4 penalties for refusal, 8 penalties for second refusal, elimination for 3rd refusal. Elimination for a fall of horse or rider.  

Clear Round will commece at 10am and Class 1 will start at 10.30am

Results will be uploaded to Facebook, My Riding Life and www.rearsbylodge.com

All prizes will be sent to winners through Paypal or BACS.

 

COMPETITION REGULATIONS:

All classes will be run under British Riding Club rules which will be displayed on the  day.

Correct riding attire must be worn and correctly fitted, correct and safe tack used.

Skull Caps with a silk and a harness properly adjusted and fastened or hats without a fixed peak must be worn and to the following standards: PAS 015: 2011 provided they are BSI Kite marked or Inspec IC Marked VG1 01.040: 2014-12 provided they are BSI Kite marked or Inspec IC Marked ASTM F1163: 2004a or 04a onwards provided they are SEI marked SNELL E2016 AS/NZS 3838: 2006 onwards provided they are SAI global marked Hats with a fixed peak are not permitted.

Body Protectors are advisable and need to comply with BETA Level 3 displaying either a Purple 2009 Label or Blue 2018 Label. If in doubt with any of the above please check the requirements on our website https://www.rearsbylodge.com/club-rules.html
