Please note that in accordance with the amendment to BS Rule 310 all 7yr old horses are now eligible regardless of points won, but to qualify the horse must be 7yrs old in the year of the Final ie 2023. Therefore any horses which are 7yrs old from 1st September 2022 to 31st December 2022 and have won more than 700 points are unable to qualify in any qualifiers held from 1st September 2022 to 31st December 2022. Qualification does not pass down the line.

Entry qualifications: To be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. Riders who have ever competed as a team member of any Senior International Team (4* or 5* Nations Cup in the last 10 years, World, European Championships and Olympic Games are not eligible).

b) registered horses born on or after 1st January 2016, irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for qualification if they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Winter Novice Championship final.
Qualifies for: The SEIB Winter Novice Championship at the Royal International Horse Show. No competitor may ride more than two horses in the Final. Rule 310. In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split and two sets of prize money awarded. Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only.
Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.
(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 700 points. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule 310.6
(b) For all registered horses born on or after 1 January 2015, irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of seven years or under in the same calendar year as the Foxhunter Final - in accordance with rule 310.6 Four double clears will qualify.
Rule 102.16 British Showjumping hind boot rule for boots/leg protection applies in this class.
Qualifies for: The Senior Foxhunter Second Round.
Qualifying period: The Senior Foxhunter Second Round qualifying period for 2022/2023 (2022 second rounds and finals) is 1 May '22 - 30 April '23 inclusive. The Senior Foxhunter Second Round qualifying period for 2022/2023 (2023 second rounds and finals) is 1 May '22 – 30 April '23 (subject to revision).
Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four Senior Foxhunter First Round competitions in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in a Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize money. Horses in the class must go into the jump off and go clear to gain its double clear round qualification.
Those horses that have competed in the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2022 are not eligible for qualification to the 2023 Championship.
If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.

Rule 505. DRAWN ORDER For registered horses in Grades B & C to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.
Qualifies for: The Winter Grades B&C Championship at the Royal International Horse Show. No competitor may ride more than two horses in the Final. 24 riders directly qualify for the main arena. Horses that are disregarded under Rule 505.6 that otherwise would have qualified may be substituted in the Final for horses already qualified by the same rider, subject to Rule 79.4.
Qualifying period: There will be 11 qualifying competitions. Qualifiers to be held at the Winter Classic Shows, with the last qualifier at the Royal International Horse Show.
Numbers to qualify: Top two horses, disregarding those already qualified, and horses ridden by riders who have already qualified two horses.

Affiliated shows are required to repay 50 % of the entry fees in respect of all entry cancellations which are received by the Show Organiser not later than 48 hours before noon of the day on which the first affiliated competition of the show is scheduled to start except in those circumstances outlined in Rule 79.5.
