FULL PARAMEDIC TEAM ON SITE
Times will be publicised on Friday 10th September and courses can be walked from 2pm on Saturday 10th September 2022 and Sunday 11th September (please take great care when walking the course during any competition). Courses will also be available to view on the Cross Country App - EACH COMPETITOR MUST WALK THE COURSE(S) THEY ARE RIDING. DOGS ARE NOTY ALLOWED.
The winner(s) of each class will be the person(s) nearest the optimum time - in a designated timed section of the course - together with the least amount of penalties.
MPM for each timed sections are;
70cm - 420mpm
80cm - 435mpm
90cm - 450mpm
WATCHES ARE NOT ALLOWED. DISTANCES AND OPTIMUM TIMES WILL NOT BE DISPLAYED. IT IS THE RIDERS RESPONSIBILITY TO RIDE ACCORDING TO PACE.
Penalties
1st refusal/run out/circle at at fence = 20 penalties
2nd refusal/run out/circle at a fence = 40 penalties
3rd refusa/run out/circle at a fence = 60 penalties (3 refusals at the same fence results in elimination)
4th refusal/run out/circle at a fence = 80 penalties results in elimination.
Error of course = Elimination. Competitors may continue on the course at the Fence Judges and Cross Country Controllers discretion.
Unseated rider/fall of horse/or rider - Elimination with no remounting - Competitors must leave the course immediately by the quickest and safest route, or, await medical assistance. All fences will have designated fence judges.
Any faller on the course is eliminated immediately and must be examined by the medical team. Any mutiple rider who has a fall on the course must be seen and assesed by the medical team with regards to riding their next horse.
Any rider/horse combination can enter a maximum of two classes.
The 80 pairs class - Each fence must be jumped in single file - apart from one designated "pairs fence" (which will also be professionally photographed). Optimum time for the pairs class will be timed from the first rider entering the timed section and the last rider leaving the timed section.
All courses will be numbered and flagged acording to class.
It is the rider's responsibility to ensure they are aware of the correct course for their class(es) and they walk the course(s) they are riding.
The Judges Decision is final and must be respected.
