How it Works/ What to do?

1.     Round 1 & 2 - Choose an EquiTest from the specified list

2.     Enter and submit your videos before the set closing date

3.     You must introduce yourself on each video stating your Name, Horses Name and your EquiTest, failure to do this will incur a -2 point penalty.

4.     The Results from Round 1 & 2 will be emailed to you.  The Round 1 results, will determine which Prize Pool Group you’re in.

5.     You can then move onto Round 3 & 4. 

6.     Round 3 - Choose an EquiTest from the specified list.

7.     Round 4 – Ride the same test as Round 1.

8.     Enter Round 3 & 4 and submit both videos before the set closing date.

9.     You can enter individual rounds but in order to enter the Tournament Prize Pool you must complete all 4 rounds within the closing date.

10. All Results from each Round and completed Tournament will be emailed to you. 

11. Round Results are determined by the highest percentage overall, in the event of a tie the highest collectives will determine placings

12. Tournament Results – All 4 tests from Rounds 1,2,3 & 4 will be collated and averaged to determine Prize Pool placing

13. Prize Boxes will be posted out to you at the end of each tournament which will include your test sheets and prizes from each Round (Round 1, 2, 3,4) And Completed Tournament.

EquiTest ‘Online Dressage’ Tournament – Rules:

·      Enter 4 Rounds = 4 Tests

·      At the end of the Tournament all 4 tests will be added together & averaged to determine your prizes from up to £500 per group

·      Round 1 results will determine which prize pool group you are in as follows:

o   Prize Pool Group A - 68% and above

o   Prize Pool Group B – 67.99% to 65%

o   Prize Pool Group C – 64.99% to 61%

o   Prize Pool Group D – 60.99% and below

·      You will remain in this group for the rest of the tournament.  You will be emailed to state the prize pool group you are in and what prizes you are aiming for.

·      You must complete all 4 rounds to be eligible to enter the Prize Pool Tournament for your group.

·      Each Tournament has a closing date of when entries and videos are to be submitted.

·      Each Tournament will last for 3 weeks.  All entries and videos MUST be submitted in the time from before the closing dates stated. 

·      For Round 1 & 2 choose from the following tests (which can be ridden twice for Rounds 1 & 2):

o   EquiTest Foundation (Walk Only) Level 1

o   EquiTest Intro Level 1

o   EquiTest Training Level 1

o   EquiTest Preliminary Level 1

o   EquiTest Novice Level 1

o   EquiTest Elementary Level 1

o   EquiTest Medium Level 1

o   EquiTest Advanced Medium Level 1

·      For Round 3 - Choose from the following tests:

o   EquiTest Foundation (Walk Only Level 1

o   EquiTest Intro Level 2

o   EquiTest Preliminary Level 2

o   EquiTest Novice Level 2

o   EquiTest Elementary Level 2

o   EquiTest Training Level 2

o   EquiTest Medium Level 1

o   EquiTest Advanced Medium Level 1

o   EquiTest Advanced Level 1

·      For Para Riders the EquiTest Foundation (walk only) test can be used again for all Rounds.

·      If riding a Medium test then choose Adv Medium, if riding Adv Medium chose Advanced.

·      At this stage EquiTest Dressage to Music tests will not be used

·      All EquiTests are free to download from the website or for a copy email the.equitest@gmail.com

·      At this stage no BD, Para, BE, RC or similar tests cannot be used. Only EquiTests as advertised

·      All Tests should be filmed from C

·      You must introduce yourself on each video stating your Name, Horses Name and your EquiTest, failure to do this will incur a -2 point penalty.

·      All tests will be judged by a BD judge. 

·      Lead Rein welcome in walk only & intro tests.

 EquiTest Prizes for Round 1, 2, 3 & 4

 EquiTest Tournament Prize Pool Ratio – Per Group A, B, C & D

·      By Entering any of the classes with EquiTest® you agree to accept and abide by all Rules and Terms & Conditions set out by EquiTest.co.uk

·      Closing Date: 23rd July 2022 at 2pm. After this time entries and videos cannot be accepted for the month in question and will automatically be included in the following months competition. 

·      Entry fees will not be refunded once an entry has been accepted.

·      EquiTest reserves the right to refuse an entry without stating a reason.

·      Videos of tests must be filmed within the current month of the EquiTest competition.  All tests can be from C or as near as possible! 

·      Any rider of 18 years of age and under must have parental permission to enter

·      EquiTest take no responsibility for any injury occurred to either horse or rider or any person / animal whilst recording their video entry. You are riding at your own risk. Correct riding attire and appropriate protective wear MUST be worn for each relevant discipline.

·      Copyright laws must be adhered to when submitting any video footage or photographs or printed material. EquiTest will not be liable for any costs incurred as a result of infringement of copyright laws by any competitor.

Rider Dress Code for all EquiTest Classes:

·      Protective riding hats must be worn and up to current safety standards with a BSI Kite Mark in addition to the following standards; British – All PAS 015, European – VG1, EN1384 – 2017, American – SEI ASTM F1163 04a onwards and SNELL E2001 and E2016, Australian & New Zealand – AS/NZS 3838 2003 onwards. Must always be correctly fastened whilst mounted. Incorrect headgear will lead to elimination.
Suitable footwear designed for riding must be worn for safety reasons. Short riding boots may be worn with gaiters or half chaps of any colour. Fringed gaiters/chaps are allowed.

·      We recommend smart casual attire, but hacking/show jackets are optional.

·      Gloves can be worn. Any colour is allowed.

·      Body protectors may be worn.

·      Spurs and a whip may also be used.

Horse Turnout:

·      No need to plait.

·      Any bit and running martingales are allowed.

·      Side reins, draw reins, or any other similar training aids are forbidden.

·      Bitless bridles are allowed.

·      Neck straps or balancing straps (a loop on the front of the saddle) are permitted for all Classes.

·      Ear covers and fly hoods are allowed but must not cover the horse’s eyes. Nose nets and fly masks are permitted.

·      Any saddle permitted.

·      Boots, bandages, overreach boots allowed

Rules of the Competitions:

·      Judges decisions are final.

·      No communication or discussion will be entered into by EQUITEST, any of its representatives or the judges involved. Any objection or appeal regarding a score must be made in writing within 24 hours of the test being judged and be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of £25.

·      Very rarely mistakes may be made with calculating percentages, please ensure we are notified by email within 24 hours of receipt of your test sheet and we will endeavour to rectify any errors.
