Vaccination Record:
All horses and ponies at the Show must have a current and valid certificate of vaccination against Equine Influenza. There will be random checking of certificates and any horse or pony found without a valid certificate will not be permitted to stay at the Championships. All horses must have been fully vaccinated within the past twelve months before arriving at the event. Horses recently vaccinated must have six clear days after the vaccination before arriving at the Championships.

A fee of £15 per period (Period 1: 21 – 22 July, Period 2: 27 July – 29 July) will be charged towards medical cover during the hours of competition.

It is the responsibility of all competitors to ensure they have completed their entries in full, completing all fields where prompted and ensuring the correct payment has been made at the point of entry. Please note: There is a 2 night minimum stay for ALL stabled horses at a cost of £84. Please ensure you select your 2 nights (or more) when booking online. 1 night stays will not be accepted and we reserve the right to select your 2nd night on your behalf and charge the remaining balance to your credit or debit card as used to pay online. Therefore, please ensure you check your entry before completing payment.

Temporary plastic stabling (3m x 3m) will be available on the showground. Stables must be booked on-line. If you wish to increase the number of nights a horse is stabled once the initial stable booking is made, please contact the Show Secretary on 07790 309424 to amend your booking. Lighting is not provided in the stables.

All competitors will pay a cash deposit of £20 per stable upon arrival at the Stable Managers Office. This deposit will be fully refundable prior to departure and upon confirmation that the competitors stable has been emptied of bedding and left tidy.

All vehicles will access the Show Ground via the Stoneleigh Park Main Entrance Gate CV8 2LZ.

Stable Manager’s Office is open daily from 7.00am – 7.30pm

Although bedding may be in your stable from previous occupants, bedding is not provided. If required, Natural Flake Shavings may be purchased on-site from the Stable Managers Office at £7.50 per bale between 8.00am and 7.00pm and not for purchase in advance. For further information on Natural Flake Shavings please visit www.awjenkinson.co.uk. Straw is not permitted. Any damage caused to stables will be charged to the hirer. Hay, haylage or horse feed is not available to purchase on-site. Horseboxes / trailers may be parked some distance from the stables.

Electric Lorry Hook Up:
Electrical hook ups are available for horseboxes at the following costs:
Period 1 27 – 29 July £88 (inc. VAT)
Period 1 & 2 21 July – 29 July £150 (inc. VAT)
Competitors must have a 16amp (blue socket) extension cable to connect to the socket supplied by the Organiser. It is the responsibility of the Competitor to ensure that all their cables and electrical equipment complies with current electrical regulations. Competitors must ensure that all electrical items in their horseboxes have a current PAT Certificate.
Whilst the Organiser will endeavour to supply the hook up booked; the Organiser does not guarantee a constant supply throughout the Show, nor to accept any responsibility for losses and / or discomfort occurring as a result of a break in the supply provided. Electrical connection must be booked on-line by Saturday 10 July and is on a limited basis. No refunds can be made on cancelled hook up bookings.
No electrical hook up may be sub-let and may only be used by the Competitor who has made the purchase for the period that the Competitor is staying in the Show Ground.

Prize givings will take place in the Rowen Barbary Arena adjacent to the Stable Managers Office.
Prize giving times will be available in the Secretary’s Office.
Top 10 competitors in each class are required for the mounted prize giving. Please see item 18 in the General Terms and Conditions regarding prize givings.

Prize Money: 1st £20, 2nd £15, 3rd £10, 4th £5, 5th £5. Awarded in all Dressage Championship Competitions, warm up classes not included.

TERMS OF ENTRY

 

1.        Entry to and attendance at the SEIB Trailblazers Championships is subject to the General Rules and Regulations of the Show (as set out in the Official Schedule) and the Trailblazers Rules (as set out on www.trailblazerschampionships.com). By entering the Show you confirm that you have read, understood, accept and agree to comply with the Rules and Regulations of the Show and the Trailblazers Rules. In particular you acknowledge that the Organiser shall not under any circumstances be responsible for any loss, injury, illness or damage to (whether or not foreseeable and howsoever caused), or any theft from, any Competitor, any horse or other animal, any vehicle, or any other property whatsoever in the Show Ground, providing that nothing shall exclude or limit the Organiser’s liability for the death of or personal injury to any person caused by its negligence or that of its employees or agents.

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

Please read these General Rules and Regulations carefully. By entering, attending, or being in any way involved in any aspect of the Show, you indicate that you accept and agree to comply with these General Rules and Regulations.

 

1.        DEFINITIONS In these General Rules and Regulations the termCompetitorrefers to every Entrant and Associated Person. The term “Entrant” refers to all exhibitors and competitors entering the Show. The term “Associated Person” refers to all owners, riders, handlers, drivers, grooms, and parents / guardians of competitors under the age of 16 associates and / or supporters of Entrants. The termShow refers to the event known as the SEIB Trailblazers Championships held at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire CV8 2LZ (the “Show Ground”). The termOrganiserrefers to Show Direct Ltd incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 04558504 and all its employees, officers, representatives, volunteers and show officials. The term “Show Secretary” refers to Sara Green or such other person as may be appointed to perform such role.

 

2.        RESPONSIBILITY – The Organiser shall not under any circumstances be responsible for any loss, injury, illness or damage to (whether or not foreseeable and howsoever caused), or any theft from, any Competitor, any horse or other animal, any vehicle, or any other property whatsoever in the Show Ground, provided that nothing shall exclude or limit the Organiser’s liability for the death of or personal injury to any person caused by its negligence or that of its employees or agents.

 

         Any items brought into the Show Ground or left in vehicles or tack lockers (whether locked or not) are at the Competitor’s own risk. Competitors shall take such steps as are necessary to secure their property whilst in the Show Ground.

 

         Competitors are responsible for ensuring that their horses are in good health and each Competitor shall take all necessary steps to prevent the contracting or spread of any disease or illness at the Show. 

 

         Competitors will be responsible for reimbursing the Organiser for all liabilities, costs, expenses, damages and losses (including but not limited to any direct, indirect or resulting losses, loss of profit, loss of reputation and all interest, penalties and legal costs and all other reasonable professional costs and expenses) suffered or incurred by the Organiser arising out of or in connection with any breach of these Rules and Regulations by the Competitor or anyone under the control of the Competitor.

 

All Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult and may not be left at the Show unaccompanied.

 

Each Entrant will be considered responsible in all respects for the acts and/or failures to act of their Associated Persons. The Entrant shall be responsible for the consequence o any infringement by its Associated Persons of these Rules and Regulations.

 

Competitors are personally responsible for ensuring that they take all necessary measures with regards to health and safety.

 

Upon any entry to any competition at the Show each Competitor acknowledges that he / she is taking part in a risk sport and represents that he / she is a competent rider at the level of competition in which he / she has entered.

 

Competitors who suffer a fall or any other injury whilst in the Show Ground must report the fall / injury to the Show Secretary.

 

Competitors shall comply with all Trailblazers Rules, which are available to view on www.trailblazerschampionships.com and any reasonable instructions given to them by the Organisers.

 

3.        INSURANCE – Competitors are personally responsible for damage to: any buildings, land, equipment, or other property in the Show Ground; or to any third persons caused by the Competitor, their employees, their agents, or their horses / ponies. It is strongly advised that Competitors have in force third-party insurance providing full coverage for participation in and attendance at the Show.

 

4.        CLOSE OF ENTRIES - Entries will close on FRIDAY 8 JULY 2022 - NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED Entries open on 15 June 2022 and will only be accepted online via My Riding Life by visiting www.trailblazerschampionships.com and clicking on the ‘Enter the Championships’ button

Should space be available late entries may be accepted by contacting the Show Secretary. An additional fee of £4.00 per entry will be charged per entry.

 

5.        ONLINE ENTRY PROCESS - It is the responsibility of the Competitor to ensure they have completed their entries in full, completing all fields where prompted and ensuring the correct payment has been made at the point of entry. Please note: There is a two night minimum stay for all stabled horses at a cost of £84. Please ensure you select your two nights (or more) when booking online. One night stabling is not available and we reserve the right to select your second night on your behalf and charge the remaining balance to your credit or debit card as used to pay online. Therefore, please ensure you check your entry before completing your on-line payment.

 

6.        BALLOTING DRESSAGE ENTRIES – In the unlikely event that dressage entries for the Show or an individual dressage championship at the Show become oversubscribed, then the Show Organiser reserves the right to ballot entries according to the date of entry. Any Competitors balloted out will be provided with a full refund less fees. Entries will be balloted after close of entries on 8 July and before release of times on Tuesday 19 July.

 

7.        ADDITIONAL FEES – The Organiser reserves the right to charge an additional fee to Competitors should extraordinary circumstances arise which require procedures to be implemented that would not normally be anticipated or expected, but were considered by the Organiser to be in the best interests for the wellbeing of either Competitors, horses and animals, general public and / or the successful running of the Championships.

 

8.        REMOVAL FROM THE SHOW The Organiser retains at its absolute discretion the right to decline entry or exclude or remove any person or animal from the Show or future shows or return any entry fee without being required to assign any reason or being liable to the Competitor for any compensation.

 

9.        QUALIFICATION Only qualified partnerships (horse / pony and rider) from Trailblazers Dressage Second Round Qualifiers or the Direct Show Jumping, and Combined Training Qualifiers are eligible to compete at the SEIB Trailblazers Championships Finals. In the event of a partnership (horse / pony and rider) ceasing, then the qualification will cease.

 

10.      COMPETITIONS The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, add to, or amend any of the competitions or the Show, as they deem appropriate.

 

11.      FIRST AID – A fee of £15 per Competitor per period (20 – 24 July or 26 July – 29 July) will be charged towards medical cover during the hours of competition.

 

12.      RE-PRESENTED PAYMENT Any payment that has to be re-presented to the bank for whatever reason will be subject to a £20.00 administration fee each time it is represented.

 

13.      VAT RECEIPTS All entries, medical, stable and hook-up fees include VAT.

 

14.      REFUND OF ENTRY, MEDICAL, STABLE AND HOOK UP FEES – A refund of 75% of the entry, medical, hook up and / or stable fee will be made to Competitors who withdraw in writing prior to the Close of Entry on 8 July 2022. After the 8 July any stable and / or hook up fee will be non-refundable. A refund of 50% of the entry and / or medical fee will be made until 10.00am on Tuesday 19 July 2022, after which any entry and medical fee will be non-refundable.

 

Should the event be cancelled prior to 20 July, or part-concluded and then abandoned, due to Covid-19 then Competitors will receive a full refund on unused Entries and un-commenced Stables and Hook Ups minus the My Riding Life booking fee, STRIPE payment fees and a £10.00 administration fee.

        

15.      COMPETITION WARM UP ARENA Competition warm up arenas will be available for exercise from 3.30pm on Wednesday 20 July and Tuesday 26 July until 7.00pm, after which it is available one hour prior to the start of competition each show day until 30 minutes after the conclusion of competition each day.

 

All warming up must be done in the designated warm up arenas provided by the Organiser. Competitors found abusing the show ground may be asked to leave the Show.

 

         Horses not competing at the Show may not exercise in the Competition Warm Up Arena. Access to the competition warm up arenas is only available via the horse walk which will be closed when not in use. Updated opening times will be available in the Stable Managers Office.

 

16.      GRASS EXERCISE ARENA – The grass exercise arena will be open throughout the hours of daylight. The Grass Exercise Arena is the only arena that may be used for lunging and only if the arena does not have other Competitors exercising.

 

17.      DRESS Hard hats, which comply with current safety requirements, must be worn at all times when mounted. Competitors must be correctly dressed when walking the course.

 

18.      PRIZE GIVING The Organisers reserve the right to withhold prizes if Competitors do not attend the Official Prize Giving. Competitors must be mounted and must be dressed for the prize giving in the manner in which they competed.

 

19.      ALL VEHICLES The Organiser reserves the right to remove any vehicle which is obstructing any access (even if locked and unattended) and the Organiser will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage occasioned by such removal.

 

20.      LIQUID PETROLEUM GAS (LPG) – Bottled gas may be used in conjunction with fitted living accommodation within horseboxes sited in the lorry park; however, it is the responsibility of the Competitor to ensure that all gas bottles are fitted correctly and that all appliances are fitted to the gas bottle through approved pipework.

 

21.      FIRE EXTINGUISHERS All vehicles must be equipped with an appropriate fire extinguisher conforming to Local Authority Regulations.

 

 

 

 

 

22.      VEHICLES REQUIRING TOWING – Should any vehicle become stuck on soft ground while in the Show Ground the Competitor must contact an official immediately who will arrange for the vehicle to be towed onto hard standing. The Organiser reserves the right to charge the Competitor if, in the opinion of the Organiser, excess damage is done to the ground by the Competitor prior to requesting the towing service or by not waiting for the towing service to arrive. The Organiser will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage howsoever caused while the Organiser’s agents are in the process of towing any vehicle.

 

23.      VEHICLE ACCESS AND PASSES – There is no charge for Competitor vehicles to park in the Show Ground. Competitors will not need vehicle passes and no passes will be sent to Competitors. All vehicles will be parked in designated parking areas and Competitors are required to follow all directions given by the official parking staff.

 

24.      SMOKING Is not permitted within any building or marquee on the Show Ground or within the stable area.

 

25.      MOTORBIKES, SCOOTERS, BICYCLES AND QUAD BIKES Except for authorised official vehicles used by the Organiser, motorbikes, scooters, bicycles or quad bikes are not permitted at the Show. Disability vehicles are permitted.

 

26.      DOGS Dogs are permitted in the Show Ground, but must be kept under control and on a lead at all times. If, in the opinion of the Organiser, any person fails to control their dog/s they may be asked to leave the Show Ground.

 

27.      OBJECTIONS Objections should be made in writing in accordance to Point 6 in the Trailblazers General Rules, which document is available on the Trailblazers website. A £80 deposit in cash will be required per objection.

 

28.      OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHS It is understood and agreed by Competitors that any photographs (and / or film footage) taken at the Show by any official photographer may be used by the Organiser for security and / or promotional purposes without payment.

 

29.      FARRIER & VETERINARY SURGEON The services of a farrier and vet are only available On Call”. Please contact the Stable Manager. Competitors are responsible for any costs incurred in making such call outs.

 

30.      SHOW GROUND ACCESS Horses may arrive on the Show Ground from 2.00pm on Wednesday 20 July and from 2.00pm Tuesday 27 July and the Show Ground entrance will be closed at 11.00pm. Access to the Show Ground will be from 6.45am 11.00pm on Show days. Outside of these times the entrance will be opened for emergency access only. Horses requiring stabling must arrive on the showground before 7.00pm. Should any Competitor be delayed, they must contact the Stable Manager on 07487 423564. The Stable Managers Office will close at 7.30pm each night.

 

         Only horseboxes / trailers bringing horses and / or ponies intending to compete at the Show will be admitted to the Show Ground.

 

31.      COMPETITOR HORSEBOXES, CARAVANS & TENTS – While a Competitor has a horse/s stabled on site at night at the Show the Competitor may stay overnight on the Show Ground in a horsebox, caravan or tent.

 

32.      STABLING Temporary stabling (3m x 3m) will be available on the showground. Stables must be booked on-line. It is understood by Competitors that horseboxes / trailers may be parked some distance from the stables.

 

33.      HORSES STABLED ON VEHICLES Horses may not be stabled in horseboxes / trailers. A Competitor deemed by the Organiser to be stabling their horse / pony in such a way will be asked to leave the Show Ground.

 

34.      UNAUTHORISED USE OF STABLES Any Competitor who enters or makes use of any stable that has not been officially reserved for their use will be liable to a fine of £160 per stable.

 

35.      STABLE BEDDING Although bedding may be in the stable allocated to the Competitor from previous occupants, no bedding whatsoever is provided with the hire of the stable. Natural Flake Shavings may be purchased from the Stable Mangers Office at £7.50 per bale between 10.00am and 7.00pm. Straw is not permitted in stables.

 

36.      STORAGE OF BEDDING & FODDER – No hay, fodder or any flammable materials may be stored by the Competitor next to or underneath their horsebox and should be stored within their vehicles. Should the Competitor fail to comply with this requirement they may be asked to leave the Show Ground.

 

37.      VACCINATION CERTIFICATE All horses and ponies at the Show must have a current and valid certificate of vaccination against Equine Influenza. There will be random checking of certificates and any horse or pony found without a valid certificate will not be permitted to stay at the Championships.

 

 

 

 

All horses must have been fully vaccinated within the past twelve months before arriving at the event. Horses recently vaccinated must have six clear days after the vaccination before arriving at the Championships.

 

38.      HOOK UPS A limited number of 6amp electrical hook ups are available for horseboxes at a cost of £88 (inc. VAT) per hook up from 20 – 24 July, £88 (inc. VAT per hook up from 26 July – 29 July, or £150 (inc. VAT) from 20 July – 29 July. No electrical hook up may be sub-let and they are only for use by the Competitor who has made the purchase for the period that the Competitor is staying in the Show Ground.

 

Competitors must have a 16amp (blue socket) extension cable to connect to the socket supplied by the Organiser. It is the responsibility of the Competitor to ensure that all their cables and electrical equipment complies with current electrical regulations. Competitors must ensure that all electrical items in their horseboxes have a current PAT Certificate.

 

Whilst the Organiser endeavours to supply the hook up booked the Organiser does not guarantee a constant supply throughout the Show, nor do we accept any responsibility for losses and / or discomfort occurring as a result of a break in the supply provided. Electrical connection must be booked on the Entry Form by Friday 8 July 2022 and is on a strictly first come basis. No refunds can be made on any cancelled hook up bookings.

 

39.      GENERATORS Competitors may have generators in the horsebox parking areas providing they are moderately sized and do not reach a noise or emission level whereby, in the opinion of the Organiser,  they  become  a  nuisance. The Competitor is responsible for ensuring that any generator complies with all health and safety regulations and that all users adhere to the re-fuelling procedure set out in the Organiser’s document: - P 04 Re-fuelling vehicles and Equipment 121116 which is available on-site from the Stable Managers Office or in advance by request to the Organiser. All generators must be turned off between the hours of 11.00pm and 8.00am.

 

40.      HORSE WALK – Designated walkways are available for competitors to access the competition arenas. Competitors on foot on the horse walks do so at their own risk. Horse walks are not open to the general public.

 

41.      STALLIONS No person shall allow a stallion for which he / she is responsible as owner, lessee, authorised agent or rider to compete or be prepared to compete, in any class without taking adequate precautions to ensure other persons are not put at risk of injury.

 

         Stallions must be identified whilst on the Show Ground. It is recommended that stallions should wear a stallion disc and it is the responsibility of the Competitor to ensure that their stallion is clearly identified as such by other Competitors.

 

42.      REFRESHMENTS – Available in Arena Bistro from 4.00pm – 9.00pm on Wednesday 21 July and Tuesday 26 July and open from 7.30am – 9.00pm on competition days (breakfast 7.30am – 11.00am). Bar available during normal licensing hours.

 

43.      BARBEQUES No unofficial barbeques are permitted in the Show Ground.

 

44.      CASH POINT – There is no cash point on the show ground.

 

45.      LOST PROPERTY – All lost property during the show will be located at the Secretary’s Office. Any inquiries regarding lost property following the conclusion of the Show should be made to Stacey at stacey@showdirect.co.uk.

 

46.      ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR Any act of anti-social behaviour, including excessive noise, will result in those responsible being required to leave the Show.

 

47.      OTHER TERMS If any court declares that any provision of these Rules and Regulations is invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, the provision will, to that extent, be severed from the remaining provisions, which will continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.

 

         These Rules and Regulations are governed by English law. The Organiser and Competitor both agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
