Mare or gelding 4yrs old or over and of any height. Riders must be 15 years or over on the 1st January 2021. Horses to be ridden in any suitable bridle and should be plaited. All entries must be registered with RoR and HAVE raced in GB. Racing injuries and blemishes ARE IGNORED in this series. The first three go forward to the final at The Jockey Club RoR National Championships, Aintree, August 2023. The judge will NOT ride. Horses may be stripped for conformation at the discretion of the judge. Competitors must wear a safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap. All those entering horses and/or participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force’ The class to be judged 50% jumping, 20% Style while jumping and performance and 30% awarded for show, manners and suitability to be retrained.
PHASE 1
Jumping to be judged:
8 rustic jumps 3 foot (90cm) to 3 foot 3 inches (1 metre) with a maximum spread of 95 centimeters)
The following points to be deducted at the end of each jumping round:
10 points to be deducted for a knock down.
15 points to be deducted for a refusal.
20 points for second refusal.
Elimination for third refusal or fall or Error of Course.

PHASE 2
Class returns without boots and judged for an individual show/conformation. (In some classes, at the judge’s discretion, horses might be asked to do a ‘show’ following their jumping without leaving the ring. This is often the case with a large number in the class) Each horse to complete an individual show of no longer than 1 ½ minutes. Show to include the following movements: Walk, Trot, canter showing change of leg, extended canter (gallop) halt and stand, walk off on long rein. Total marks out of 30% for Show, manners and suitability to be retrained. Fences for the final at Aintree can be up to a maximum of 3’6” (1.05 metre)
Prizes: Rosettes and Vouchers 1st to 3rd place. 1st £30 plus RoR prize, 2nd £20 3rd £10. RoR prizes will not be awarded to RoR qualifiers with numbers forward of two or less, however qualification for the final will stand. Veteran prize (15+): £20 voucher to be redeemed from RoR office and qualification for the Veteran Final at The Jockey Club RoR National Championships at Aintree 2023.

Horses should be ridden in a snaffle, Pelham or simple double bridle with a plain cavasson noseband. Horses should be plaited. The Series is open to AMATEURS only – those employed in racing will be allowed to compete. Class will be judged under ‘riding horse’ format without ‘type’ being taken into consideration. Racing injuries and blemishes ARE IGNORED in this series This class is a qualifier for the Tattersalls RoR Amateur Ridden Show Series FINAL. The Judge will not ride at the qualifiers. The first three go forward to the final to be held at the Hickstead Derby Meeting, June 2023 Rosettes 1st - 4th. Prizes - 1st £30 plus RoR Gift 2nd £20, 3rd £10 RoR prizes will not be awarded in RoR qualifiers with numbers forward of two or less, however qualification for the final will stand. Amateur definition: The rules are as in the rulebook with the following addition that an amateur may not show a horse owned or sponsored by a company or commercial firm. In addition a person classed as amateur must not be supported by a company in any way or act as brand ambassador whether financially or in-kind. An amateur is a person who for the purpose of RoR classes does not/has not during the current season or previous season:Engage (d) in breeding, livery, buying or selling, dealing or hiring horses in a commercial capacity. Horses must not have been stabled at or reside in a Professional Producer's/Trainer's yard from January 1st 2022 Riders must not have ridden any animals produced by a Professional/Trainer in the current or previous season. Horses and riders must not receive any help from a Professional Producer/Trainer at a SHOW in the current season. A rider who has ridden for a Professional/Producer Trainer in the current or previous season must not have ridden horses at a show. Any breaches of this ruling will be taken seriously and will result in disqualification from future classes.

1. All entry fees must be made through www.myridinglife.com 2. All entries must be made by Sunday 14th August 2022 No late or telephone entries allowed. 3. Hard hats to the current British Standard MUST be worn at all times. 4. ALL stallions and colts, 2 years old and over, must be adequately bitted. 5. Where the height of a horse or pony is specified in any class, the judge, steward or other official may require such an animal to be measured unless the animal has a current official measurement certificate issued by the Joint Measurement Scheme. 6. All equines attending the showground must have up to date Equine Influenza vaccinations, the organisers reserve the right to check vaccination passports at any time. 7. The exercising of horses/ponies will only be allowed in the designated collecting rings. No exercising may occur in the box park. 8. The parent or guardian must, if required, produce to the Secretary, a certified copy of the entry of birth of any child competing in the children’s classes within seven days of the show. 9. All exhibitors and competitors must be covered by a Public Liability Policy including show use. The Society reserves the right to require any exhibitor to produce proof that a suitable Policy is in force. 10. The decision of the judges will be regarded as final. 11. Objections must be lodged with the show secretary in writing up to 15 minutes after the completion of a class and must be accompanied with a deposit of £100 which will be returned if the complaint is upheld. 12. All timings are approximate and subject to change and it is the competitor’s responsibility to present themselves in the ring for the start of their class. 13. The committee reserve the right to amalgamate, divide or cancel any classes and refuse entry to, or remove from any class any person(s); (a) that behave in an irresponsible or offensive manner or (b) whose horse/pony they consider unfit to compete. 14. Each competitor will be issued with an entry pass and one other pass into the show. Anyone else accompanying the competitor must purchase an entry ticket in advance. Failure to do so may result in you being refused entry to the lorry park. 15. ALL competitors take part at their own risk. The organisers do not hold themselves responsible for any accident that might occur to horse, rider, property or spectator.
