Family Horse/Pony- the horse/pony will need to be ridden by two people. Both competitors will do an individual show on the horse/pony. You may show a trick on your horse/pony after both competitors have done their individual show e.g. around the world. Props such as brushes, hoof picks etc are allowed. HOWEVER PLEASE DO NOT BRING PROPS WHCH COULD BE CONSIDERED DANGEROUS OR DO A TRICK THAT COULD POTENTIALLY BE DANGEROUS E.G. GETTING THE HORSE/PONY TO REAR, THIS COULD RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION. Entries close 8th June at Midnight
Lead Rein competitors are allowed in all classes that state they are ridden or for both ridden and inhand.

Payment Details & Event Fees

Entries and payment in advance. You can enter using our Secure Online Entry System.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to BP Events.
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.

£12 per class except from the working hunter and family pony classes.
£14 for all working hunter classes and the family pony class. If you are placed in the family pony class both riders will receive a rosette etc each.
£3 first aid per competitor

Trophy and sash for 1st place
Rosette, trophy and sash for Champion and Reserve Champion

Everyone not placed in classes 20-23 will receive a special rosette

 We will also have Pete’s Bacon Me Crazy and Amber-Belle Ices at this event to supply you with all the food and drink you need. From burgers and chips to ice creams and hot desserts 


Withdrawals/Refunds

If you cancel on the day or after the closing date there will ne no refunds or swapping your entries to a different show. 

If you cancel before the closing date you can transfer your entries. If a vet note or doctors note is received you can receive a full refund.

 Rules and health and safety requirements 

 

 

  • The Judge’s decision is final 
  • The organisers have the right to cancel, amend or add to classes 
  • No horse or pony to be left tied up to an unhitched trailer 
  • No horse or pony should be tied up to the trailer or lorry and left unattended 
  • No lunging in the warm up arena 
  • Please take home all horse droppings and rubbish from around your
    vehicle 
  • Riding hats must be worn at all times when mounted and when in the ring.
  • Riding hats must be worn by all handlers under the age of 18. Any handlers over the age of 18 are advised to wear a hard hat but are allowed to wear other hats such as flat caps. 
  • Please also obey all of Golden Cross Equestrian Centre’s rules these are a requirement by law for health and safety 
  • Please do not go onto the yard or around the farm 
  • HEALTH AND SAFTEY The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents from occurring and you must also obey any instruction given by the organisers, judges, stewards and any officials at all times. 
  • Our stewards will do their best to locate you when your class has started however you are responsible for keeping an eye on the rings and ensuring you are ready in time. If classes are looking like they may clash then please speak to a steward or the secretary and we will do our best to ensure you are able to take part in both classes.
