NPS/rosettes Direct Home-Produced Ridden Championship - Riders of Home-Produced ponies (see defnition in the NPS Rules Book) can wear a white arm band in classes where this is indicated. These ponies, if owned by NPS members, are then eligible to qualify for the fnal at the NPS Summer Championship Show. The Owner’s Membership cards MUST be produced in the ring when requested or the qualifcation will be forfeit.

The Silver Medal rosette and the qualifcation card can be awarded no lower than frst Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships. Qualifers are entitled to compete in the Final of the Silver Medal rosette Championship to be held at the NPS Summer Championship Show 2nd – 4th August 2022. NPS Cuddington Stud Mountain & Moorland In Hand Silver Medal Championship A Silver Medal rosette is offered by The National Pony Society for the best registered pony in the Mountain & Moorland In Hand Section Owned by a Qualifying or Life Member of The National Pony Society. Winners are entitled to compete in the Cuddington Stud Mountain & Moorland In Hand Silver Medal Championship at the Summer Championships 2nd - 4th August 2022. NPS M&M Breed Semi-Final Championship Qualifer for the Great British In Hand Show – September 2022.
NPS Nicholls Family M&M Ridden Silver Medal Championship A Silver Medal rosette is offered by The National Pony Society. This Championship is for stallions, mares, and geldings, registered in the main body of their respective Breed Society stud book, which have won their NPS affliated M&M Ridden class (with the exception of Working Hunter Pony, First Ridden and Leading Rein classes). The Silver Medal rosette goes to the Champion, if owned by an NPS member. If the Champion is not owned by an NPS member the Silver Medal rosette goes to the Reserve if it is owned by an NPS member. Silver Medal rosette to go no lower than frst Reserve (third) provided it is owned by an NPS Member.
All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee £1.50 as stated online. In the event that the competition has to be cancelled the entry fee will be refunded minus a £3 admin fee.
1. All persons attending this show do so at their own risk. The Organisers and Landowners do not accept responsibility for any accident to persons, their animals or property. Entries accepted and admission granted subject to these conditions. 2. The Organisers reserve the right to decline any entry without assigning a reason. The Organisers reserve the right to split or amalgamate classes as they see ft. 3. Competitors entering classes that may clash, do so at their own risk. No entry fees will be refunded. It is left to the discretion of the judge whether to allow persons arriving late at their ring to take part in the class. 4. Entries may be refunded on production of the appropriate, current veterinary or doctor’s certifcate 5. Any act of discourtesy or disobedience to any judge or offcial on the part of the Exhibitor, Groom or Rider of an animal, will at the discretion of such offcial, disqualify the animal from being judged, in which case entry fees and charges will be forfeited. 6. In the event of cancellation of the show, the entry fee will be refunded less an administration charge. 7. All competitors are strongly advised to ensure that they carry third party insurance cover. 8. Hard Hats up to current standard including PASO15, ASTMFI1163, Snell E2001 standard, properly fastened, are obligatory for all riders whilst mounted. 9. All drivers on the showground must obey instructions of the parking stewards and offcials. 10. No unauthorised person or horses to enter any ring. 11. No horses/ponies are permitted to enter the pedestrian areas. 12. No cantering or galloping in the lorry park. 13. No whips, sticks or canes to exceed 30ins in length. 14. All foals must accompany their dams into the ring and must be at least three weeks old on the day of the show. Brood mares must be 4yrs & over. 15. All Stallions and Colts, 2yrs old & over must be in possession of a current stallion licence, or otherwise governed by their individual breed society. All Stallions MUST display a stallion bridle marker (NPS rule 2.8) 16. All horses and ponies ridden on the show ground must be 4 years old or over. 17. Mountain and Moorland ponies must be shown un-plaited and in a natural state. 18. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. 19. Objections or protests must be made in writing with the objector’s full name and address with 20 minutes of the event concerned and lodged in the secretary’s tent together with £20. This sum will be refunded if the objection is sustained or forfeited if the objection is found to be frivolous or incorrect in any detail. 20. All trophies must be signed for at collection and must be returned to the Secretary by 15th March 2023. 21. Equine Influenza vaccinations are a compulsory requirement for all horses/ponies competing in NPS affliated classes. 22.
