*If oversubscribed, non-qualifiers for the Introductory Championship Team Qualifier will be balloted *

DRESS: Everyone mounted, whether competing or not must wear a hard hat conforming to the following standards with a harness properly adjusted and fastened. Hats to specification PAS015(1998 or 2011). Hats to ASTM F1163(2004a) must have a SEI mark. Hats to SNELL E2001 must have an official SNELL label and number. Hats to AS/NZS 3838(2006) must have a SAI Global mark. No other hats will be allowed and skullcap hats must be worn with a silk.

ENTRIES: No verbal entries will be accepted. No entry fee will be returned without the production of a current veterinary certificate or doctor’s certificate. No entry will be accepted without the appropriate fee. Classes will be limited and in the event of over subscription, MSRC members will be given priority. In the event of cancellation £2 will be retained to cover administration costs. All entrants must have relevant and up to date 3rd party insurance

ORGANISER’S RIGHTS: The organisers reserve the right to alter, change, cancel and / or amalgamate classes or refuse entry without stating a reason. The judge’s / organiser’s decision is final. All competitors must abide by the steward’s instruction. Any persons riding or acting in a dangerous or inconsiderate manner or misusing whip or spurs may be asked to leave the showground and may be banned from future shows.

RULES: Classes will be run under the relevant equestrian body rules i.e. British Dressage/British Riding Clubs and the British Horse Society. In the case of BD these are available from the BD office at Stoneleigh, Warwickshire CV8 2LR

DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY : Save for death and personal injury caused by the negligence of the owners or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of the event to whom the rules apply nor the MSRC nor any agent, employee or representative of the Club accept any liability for accident, damage, loss, illness or injury to horses, owners, riders, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract, or in any way whatsoever.

OBJECTIONS: Must be made to the Secretary in writing within 30 minutes of the incident accompanied by a £10 deposit, returnable if the objection is sustained.

HORSES, DOGS etc: Dogs, bicycles, roller blades or similar are not permitted on the showground. Dogs must be confined to the owners vehicle. Horses / ponies must not be tied up outside boxes / trailers and left unattended. If any Horse / pony has been in contact with an infectious disease, it should not attend any shows, clinics etc. No lunging is allowed in the parking, competition or warmup arenas / areas

PARKING: All drivers are asked to enter and leave the car park with due consideration for other users. Vehicles shall be parked in a neat and sensible manner in the car park. Droppings, hay and other rubbish is not to be left in the car park.

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY: The organiser has the overall responsibility for Health and Safety. The event is organised in accordance with H & S legislation and all who have (to any extent) control of premises or site at the event are responsible for ensuring that (a) everything reasonably practical is done to ensure the H & S and welfare of those attending the event (b) they conduct themselves so that they do not put themselves or anyone else at risk (c) access and egress to the site is safe.

MSRC Dressage Series - Covid-19 Rules

General
Clear Signage and Hand sanitiser stations will be provided in the carpark, outdoor arena and indoor arena Please ensure social distancing practises are adhered to at all times. Stewards will be positioned at the venue entrance; warm up arena; indoor arena. Please give these stewards your full cooperation at all times and respect their personal space in line with social distancing guidelines.

Competitors
May bring one other person from their family or support bubble to help. Only exceptions are Junior and Para riders.

Car Park
Steward to direct lorries to car park and trailers to field. Parking should give 3 meters clearance between vehicles and no horses can be tied outside the lorry. If the field is used for parking a 5 meter distance from each vehicle must be observed BUT horses can be tied outside the lorry if required.
You will be asked to provide the name and phone number of you groom/helper to the Car Park Steward for Track and Trace purposes.
Please ensure you have your owns tools to clear up any droppings or other mess made. Where possible horses should not be tied at the lorry or trailer. Where this cannot be avoided ALL horses must be tried on the left side of vehicles.

Warm Up Arena - Outdoor Stewarded
You will be asked to provide the name and phone number of you groom/helper to the Car Park Steward for Track and Trace purposes. In addition declarations for non MSRC members will have to be provided to the steward before entering the warm up/Arena. Enter at car park end of Arena Exit at opposite end of Arena closest to Indoor Arena MAXIMUM of 6 horses in warm up at any one time. Please keep your warm up to a maximum of 40 minutes. Steward will advise each competitor as to when they can go to the Indoor Arena for their test.

Test -Indoor Arena
Gate to the Arena will be opened by the steward. Previous competitor to wait at a safe distance in the indoor school until the next competitor has entered and only then can leave the arena. Helper may watch by the gate to the indoor arena but must not touch the gate and keep Social Distance from the Steward at all times.

Cool Down
After your test, there is a cool down area in car park or the parking field if this is available. You may not return to the Outdoor Arena Walk only cool down Please leave the venue at the earliest opportunity as numbers on site are limited and other will be arriving to preform their tests.

Scores
Class scores will be posted on Facebook immediately and the website midsussexridingclub.co.uk with in 24 hours.
Results/Test Sheets can be sent direct to competitor if they leave a SAE with a steward or if a phone number is provided we could send a photo of the test sheet on WhatsApp in the following 24 hours.

Toilets are not accessible on site
