An interactive Rider Confidence presentation from Sports Psychologist Steffi Dampney, BSC, MSc, MBPsS on Wed 6th April @ Woodford suite, Wickham Community Centre, covering techniques to enable you to fulfil your ridden potential, for all riders.
Don’t feel like your mind-set is letting you reach your full riding potential? Then this event is for you.
Sport Psychology is not just for those out competing. For some, the competition is getting off the yard and the whole way around the block or asking for canter in the arena, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
Nowadays in equestrian sport many, if not most, of the physical aspects are covered, be it nutrition, strength and conditioning, fitness, physio, for you and your horse, the list goes on! However there often seems to be a missing link to achieving that elusive optimal performance... This is where sport psychology comes in. When you spend so much time and effort training the physical, why not also apply yourself to the mental?
Steffi Dampney, BSC, MSc, MBPsS, of The Sporting Difference, will be providing a 2 hour talk (inclusive of a short break) to equip you with some confidence tactics for your time in the saddle.
Refreshments will be provided. Doors open 6.45pm for 7pm start.
Location: Woodford suite, Wickham Community Centre, Mill Lane, Wickham, PO17 5AL
Open to non-Meon RC members.
