Class Entry Fee - £20 per Class. First Aid - £3 per rider per day.

Stabling Information: Yes
Stabling & Hook Up - please book via My Riding Life. Stables are £35 per night. Hook up £15 per night.

NSEA Rules – For the comprehensive Grass Roots Rules go to NSEA General Rules 2021-22 on the NSEA website. See below for eligibility in the height classes:
Grass Roots Rules for classes 1 - 6
GR1) Classes & Eligibility
40cm Grass Roots classes are judged on rider position and style only over a simple course of fences. Riders may be led or assisted. Classes may be split into a) led and b) assisted. This class is for genuine novice riders only. There will be an additional prize for the best rider under 6yrs on 1st Jan 2021.
ANY RIDER who has competed in ANY 70cm class (or higher) on ANY pony at ANY competition (not just NSEA) is NOT eligible for this class, (except h/c if space permits)
50cm Grass Roots classes will be a single-phase competition. May be assisted but not led. There will be an award for the best rider under 7yrs on 1st Jan 2020. This class is for genuine novice riders only.
ANY RIDER who has competed in ANY 80cm class (or higher) on ANY pony in ANY competition (not just NSEA) is immediately ineligible for Grass Roots 40 & 50 cm qualifiers & championship classes.
Also, ANY PONY / RIDER COMBINATION who have competed at 70cm in ANY competition (not just NSEA) are NOT eligible for this class, (except h/c if space permits)
60cm Grass Roots classes will be single phase competitions, no outside assistance. There will be an award for the best rider under 8yrs on 1st Jan 2020. Horse/ Rider combinations who have completed courses at 80cm (at ANY competition, not just NSEA competitions) may only compete h/c in 60cm classes, or they must ride a different pony.
70cm Grass Roots classes. Single phase, no outside assistance Riders jumping at this level are not eligible for 40cm Grass Roots on ANY pony.75cm Grass Roots (Open). Individual class only. Single phase, no outside assistance. This is a progressive class to bridge the gap between Grass Roots & other NSEA classes. It is open to Grass Roots riders / combinations who are starting to jump 80cm classes.
The purpose of the Grass Roots programme is to provide very novice riders with the opportunity to experience the excitement of competition. The rules are, therefore, kept as flexible as possible but, please embrace the “spirit” of the rules.
Please do not use Grass Roots competitions as an easy opportunity to “pot hunt,” as it is not in the spirit of the competition.
The top 6 teams & individuals at qualifiers will be eligible to compete at any Regional Grass Roots Championships.

• All competitors are required to wear headgear that complies with the highest current safety standard.
• Bishop Burton College has a number of indoor and outdoor arenas which will be used for these competitions.
• Horses and Ponies MUST NOT be tied to the side of horseboxes or trailers and left unattended – please clear up any mess left by you or your horses

Conditions of Entry
Payments must be contactless and in advance of booking. Spectators may be permitted - please check the guidance on the college website and the social media platforms. Equine Influenza Vaccinations: Primary vaccinations with an in-date 12-month booster. Spot checks will be carried out. Bishop Burton College can only offer its facilities for hire on the understanding that these measures are adhered to. Bishop Burton College does not accept any responsibility or liability for any injury, accident, damage or illness to any person, property or animal whatsoever, or for any loss whatsoever, arising out of, or occurring at any competition, show, hire or event. It shall be a condition of entry/hire of the Centre that each entrant shall indemnify the organisers against any legal action whatsoever arising from any accident.
Your booking and payment confirm your agreement to these conditions of use. Please take them seriously as noncompliance will result in being asked to leave with no refund forthcoming.

Your Responsibility
All persons attending the event must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents and must obey instructions given by the Organiser or by officials and stewards on its behalf.
All competitors and those associated with their school are the responsibility of the Team Manager whilst at the competition

TV & Photography
Please note that professional photographers will be present at NSEA competitions. There may also be TV cameras at the Championships. Please indicate on the entry form if you do not wish to appear in press coverage/ TV or photos taken by our official photographers

General information
Please ensure that you do not muck out your horsebox onto the Car Park. Take all litter home with you.
All dogs must be kept on leads at all times. Any dog mess must be cleared up.
Outside assistance will not be tolerated- and could result in elimination.
NSEA affiliated competitors only may warm up & compete horses on the show ground
All competitions, parents and representatives from every school must ensure that they act courteously to stewards and officials at all times. Most of them are volunteers and rudeness is not acceptable.
In the event of cancellation, you entry will be refunded on receipt of a sae, less £5 per cheque admin fee.
