Entries shut the day before the show at 9am and times will be released the day before the show by 3pm. As the health and safety of all visitors is paramount please ensure that you have read the below information as you will be asked to comply with these guidelines during the course of your visit. Bury Farm reserves the right to ask competitors to leave the centre if any of the below guidelines are breached.
In line with biosecurity measures please have your passports available for inspection upon arrival at the centre. Horses must have up-to-date vaccinations and the organisers reserve the right to turn horses away from the competition if proof of vaccination records cannot be presented upon arrival.
Payment Details & Event Fees
Entries for Bury Farm shows must be made online via the event link on the Events Tab of the Bury Farm website, www.buryfarmequestrianvillage.co.uk. Entries will not be accepted after the closing date unless space allows. Once submitted entries may be changed prior to the times being published by contacting ashlie@buryfarmestates.co.uk with entry changes. Once the times have been published entries may still be amended but only if a horse and/or rider can be substituted into the class and time on the published schedule. ENTRIES CANNOT BE CHANGED AT THE VENUE ON THE DAY OF COMPETITION.

Stabling Information: Yes
Stabling can be booked online alongside your entries. It is essential that competitors observe social distancing etiquette in the stabling areas during the show. Please ensure you bring adequate hand sanitiser to use after opening and closing stable doors, handling horse equipment and tack. For hygiene reasons competitors must bring their own tools to the show. We have upgraded our temporary stables for the 2021 season to ensure that all competitors can enjoy their overnight stays at the centre. Permanent stables are limited and so we cannot honour every request for permanent stables at the show. Permanent stables will be allocated on a priority basis at the discretion of the event organiser.
£45 for one night, £60 for two nights and £80 for three nights or more (duration.) Please select DURATION stabling if staying for 3 nights or more & state arrival day in the stabling notes. Stables are available from 3pm on the date of booking and must be vacated by midday on the day of departure. Arrival and departure times may be flexed upon request depending upon stable availability. STRICTLY No arrivals after 7pm. Please call 07568 395548 in the event of emergency. Day stables may be booked @£25 per day only if overnight stables are not booked to capacity. Hook Up may also be booked online: £25 for one night, £50 for two nights or more (duration.) Stables should be left in the condition in which they are found, i.e. clear of droppings and dry. Any stables which are not left in a suitable condition will incur a muck out fee which will be communicated and charged to the competitor upon inspection of vacated stables. For biosecurity reasons we leave a basic bed in stables, banked up at the stable sides to allow competitors the option to use existing bedding for banks/bases, or to remove entirely if preferred. Hay and shavings can be purchased on site during the show. Please ask for a forage slip upon arriving at the centre and you will be able to pay for hay/shavings before collecting it from the hay barn next to the permanent stables at allocated times throughout the event. Shavings can be purchased on site for £9 per bale. Shavings must be used in our permanent indoor stables. Competitors are welcome to bring their own shavings. Ad-lib free straw is provided for temporary stables.
Competitors who win prize money will be contacted via email to obtain their bank account details. Upon receipt of competitor bank details Bury Farm will pay prize money within 10 working days.
Bareback Challenge Charity Evening ENTRIES can be made online via the Direct Entry Link https://myshowsecretary.co.uk/myshowsecretary/MSSEditSchedule.aspx?id=370173 Riders must be aged 14 or over on the date of the competition. **Riders entering the Bareback Challenge must complete the declaration form** This must be signed and sent to showjumping@buryfarmestates.co.uk by Friday 18th Feb 2022 Failure to complete the disclaimer by the entry closing date will result in a void entry. No rider may jump in the Bareback classes unless the declaration form has been signed.
The paddocks cafe team will provide a service on the day of competiton and will be offering food and drink within social distancing parameters. Face masks are encouraged to be worn when ordering and collecting food.
Refunds and transfers to future shows will not be issued after times have been published. A transfer of entries may be considered if the competitor emails ashlie@buryfarmestates.co.uk prior to the show times being published. Bury Farm will issue refunds for entries in line with British Showjumping rules. Bury Farm reserves the right to charge an administration fee for any refund or transfer of entries. All Bury Farm show jumping shows are run under British Showjumping rules. A 50% refund will be offered to those who withdraw from a competition more than 48 hours prior to the start of the event. A 50% refund less an administration fee may be offered to competitors who withdraw from a competition less than 48 hours prior to the start of the event . This refund will be offered at the discretion of the organiser. The above rules also apply to stabling.
On the day of the competition Competitors will be provided with a flatwork arena for warm up prior to their class time. A maximim of 5 competitors will be allowed in each of the warm up spaces at any given time. A collecting ring steward will call each competitors to the Competition Arena at their alloted time. The competitor must enter and leave the arena via the designated entrance and exit as directed by the collecting ring steward. Competitors must head straight back to their lorries after they have cooled off. They may not access any other arena or farm track after their class has finished. Results from each class will be announced by the judge via the arena loudspeaker system after the class has finished. Results will not be printed and competitors will not be able to view results on Bury Farm noticeboards. Results will be published online via the Bury Farm website show link within 24 hours of the show's completion. Results will also be available via the BS website. Competitors who win prize money will be contacted via email to obtain their bank account details. Upon receipt of competitor bank details Bury Farm will pay prize money within 10 working days. The show organiser, Stuart Reeve Young will be your Covid Compliance Manager on the day of competition. The show mobile will be available for competitors to contact on the day of competition - 07568 395548. Social distancing measures must be observed throughout the show. Please use hand sanitiser and wash hands regularly during your visit to the centre. Face masks are encouraged to be worn in indoor spaces. Toilets will be available for use in the International show centre. The Paddocks cafe team will provide a service on the day of competition and will be serving food and drink within social distancing parameters. Competitors may not access the livery facilities during their visit to the centre. By entering this Show, competitors and helpers agree to comply with all Covid guidelines which have been set up at the centre for the health and well-being All Bury Farm show jumping shows are run under British Showjumping rules. BIOSECURITY MEASURES All horses must be travelled with passports which can demonstrate that all vaccinations are up to date (Bury Farm operates a 12-month vaccination policy) Horses must also show no clinical signs of the following when attending the centre: - recent cough of unknown cause
- recent nasal discharge of unknown cause
- enlarged lymph nodes
- fever (>38.5 degrees)
- recent onset of neurological signs of unknown cause
- diarrhoea
Horses must also - not be under current investigation for EHV infection
- have not been in contact with and is not kept on the same premises as a horse known to have or be under investigation for EHV
- have not travelled out of the country for the past 28 days.
Horses should NOT be brought to the centre if they are not in good health on the date of travel. The organisers and land owners will not be held responsible for any incident or injury to riders, owners, spectators or any person or property whatsoever, however caused. It is a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to indemnify the promoters against any legal action arising from such incident. All reasonable precautions will be taken to ensure the health and safety of persons present. For these measures to be effective, all persons must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all the officials and stewards. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 years, who will be held responsible for their behaviour and welfare. All classes listed in the schedule will be judged in accordance with the current BSJA Rule Book and all classes are confined to horses/ponies registered with the BSJA and must be owned and ridden by members in accordance with Rule 79. Entries will only be accepted with payment. By making an entry it is acknowledged that riders are taking part in a risk sport and that they are competent to ride at the level of competition that they have entered. No member shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, lessee, authorized agent or rider, to compete or be prepared to compete, without taking adequate precautions to ensure other embers or the public are not put at risk or injury (Rule 82.21). Stallions are not allowed to compete on the “Ticket to Ride” scheme. Competitors must wear the correct riding clothes including protective head covering. Any person on the showground must wear protective headgear whilst riding. Refunds will only be given in accordance with BSJA rules. Some prize money may be withheld under rule 76.6 Once a horse has been included in a drawn order class, there will be no refunds, amendments, substitutions or alterations. The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry without giving a reason. Rule 164.1 will be applied There will be a surcharge levied or paramedic cover – this will be clearly stated on the entry form.
