Terms & Conditions

CONDITIONS of ENTRY:
These horse trials will be run according to the rules of British Eventing for the showjumping and cross country phases, except where varied below and the making of an entry constitutes acceptance of those rules. The Dressage will run under an exclusive Essential Eventing format. Details below.

** XC penalties will be as per BE rules at each level with the exception of timing. An optimum time will be calculated but not published to competitiors. Time penalties will be given per second either side of this with no window. Penalties will be allocated at the usual 0.4 per second. ***All sections, all horses to be a minimum 137cms, 4 years old & above. Riders must attain the age of 12 years old in 2021

Points won in B.E. events will not apply.
Hard hats must be worn to BE/PC/RC standards.
Body protectors must be worn when competing in the cross country phase.
Competitors must wear medical arm bands if they have anything they need to disclose to paramedics in event of a fall.
Any horse or pony, which is considered by a Judge or the Organisers to be too small for the jockey, unsound, unfit or unhealthy, will be excluded from further competition without any refund of entry fee.
ATV (quad bikes) and motor-bikes are not permitted, unless specifically authorised by the Organisers.
All dogs must be kept on short leads.
Abandonment: In the event of abandonment £10 will be retained from each entry.

***DRESSAGE :
Please be ready to enter the arena as the horse before starts their show jumping round. Your dressage show is to be performed in clear area in front of the judges hut and will start at the judges bell. Individual movements will not be marked but the below criteria will each be given a mark out of ten (half marks may be used) to form a total mark and the judge will be basing this on the overall picture and way of going. Your dressage show should take 1 minute 30 seconds and show the following movements. A bell will then ring and you will proceed straight into the showjumping phase of the competition. Saddlery; as per BE SJ rules. Movements to be shown and ridden from memory (an example video will be available online) Trot a figure of eight Transition to walk and show 10-15 steps of walk Transition to canter through trot Canter 20m circle, change the rein through trot and canter 20m circle on the other rein. Marks allocated out of 10 for the following Quality of the paces; -Walk -Trot -Canter - Impulsion - Submission - Rider seat, position and use of aids - Overall presentation and harmony

OBJECTIONS:
Objections must be made in writing to the Information point within half an hour of the incident together with a £50 deposit. The deposit will be forfeited if the objection is not sustained. After this the score cannot be changed.

To be run under Current Government Covid19 Guidelines, please check lmeq.com. Riders are responsible for ensuring the compliance with Covid19 restrictions of themselves and anyone associated with them. Any rider attending warrants that: Neither they, nor anybody in their household, have not been in contact with any person showing COVID or Viral symptoms in the last 14 days. Neither they, nor anybody in their group, have been advised to self-insolate for any reason in the past 14 days. All persons entering the site shall sanitise hands upon entry and carry their own hand sanitiser and hand wash equipment for use whilst on site. All persons shall have facial masks upon their person to be worn as appropriate. They totally understand and agree to follow promptly any reasonable requests from a Steward regarding Social Distancing and any other restriction required for COVID management. They shall ensure that they at all times observe and abide by the ‘Rule of 6’. Each rider is permitted to bring a maximum of 1 groom and 1 owner per horse plus no more than 3 dependent children. At no time shall any contingent exceed 6 people. Each rider is responsible for ensuring their compliance with Covid19 rules. Should you, or anyone in your household or extended bubble feel unwell DO NOT ATTEND

DOGS; All dogs must be kept on a very short lead at all times. By bringing a dog to the Event you agree that the dog owner / handler is at all times entirely responsible for the dog in their care, including ensuring that all faeces is immediately picked up and disposed of in a designated receptacle. By bringing a dog to the Event you agree that you indemnify the Organisers, LMEQ Ltd, the Landowners and their agents against any claim for any accident that may happen to the dog howsoever caused. Any dog causing a nuisance will be asked to leave the site immediately with it’s handler.

The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of every person present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards. Please take special care to ensure the safety of children. TO BE RUN UNDER CURRENT GOVERNMENT COVID REGULATIONS

Save for death or injury caused by the negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, LMEQ, for themselves, their servants, agents, employees and all those connected with the horse trials, do not accept liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, vehicles, their contents and accessories or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or statutory duty or any way whatsoever of themselves, their servants, agents, employees and all those connected with the horse trials or otherwise.

RESERVATION of RIGHT: The Organisers reserve the right to: Cancel any class or section; Divide any class; Transfer competitors between sections of a class; Alter the advertised times, and Refuse any entry.
