Ring 2 – Ridden Showing
All classes may be split if entries warrant. All ridden horses & ponies must be 4 years & over.
Start 9am – Judge: Mrs T Rees
Class 11 Pure, Partbred or Anglo Arab – Stallion, Mare or Gelding. Any height. All equines must be registered. Riders any age.
Class 12 Hack/Riding Horse – Mare or Gelding. Hacks not to exceed 160cm at maturity. Riding Horses to exceed 148cms at maturity. Riders to have attained their 15th birthday by 1st January in the current year.
Class 13 Traditional/Show Cob – Stallion, Mare or Gelding. Any height. Riders any age.
Class 14 Hunter/Show Hunter Pony - Mare or Gelding. Any height.
Class 15 X Race Horse – Horse or Pony, 4 years old and over. Riders any age.
Class 16 Coloured Horse/Pony – Stallion, Mare or Gelding. Any height. Riders any age. To include Piebald, Skewbald, Appaloosa, Spotted, Palomino & Dun
Not before 12
Class 17 Lead Rein Pony – Mare or Gelding. Not to exceed 122cm. Riders not to have attained their 8th birthday before 1st January in current year.
Class 18 First Ridden – Mare or Gelding. Not to exceed 122cm. Riders not to have attained their 10th birthday before 1st January in current year.
Class 20 Veteran Horse/Pony – Any height. Riders any age. Horse or Pony to be 15 years or over.
Class 21 Mountain & Moorland - Stallion, Mare or Gelding. Riders any age. Ponies must be registered with their respective Pure Breed Society Studbooks.
Championship: 1st & 2nd prize winners from classes 11 to 21 to qualify for Ridden Championship.
Ring 3 – Non Qualifying Showing
All classes may be split if entries warrant. All ridden horses & ponies must be 4 years & over.

Class 22 Youngstock Inhand – Colt, filly or gelding. 1/2/3 years old. Any height/type.
Class 23 Best Turned Out – Inhand or Ridden, lead rein permitted. Any age/height
Class 24 Cob Type – Inhand or Ridden, lead rein permitted. Any age/height.
Class 25 Native Type - Inhand or Ridden, lead rein permitted. Any age/height.
Class 26 Riding Club Horse/Pony – Ridden. Mare or Gelding. Horses/ponies will be required to jump a small jump.
Class 27 Veteran Rider - Ridden. Riders 45 years and over on 1st January in current year.
Class 28 Junior Rider – Ridden. Riders must be minimum 4 years old and maximum 16 years old on 1st January in current year. Lead rein permitted.
Championship: 1st & 2nd prize winners from classes 22 to 28 to qualify for Championship

Class 29 Best Mare – Inhand or Ridden, lead rein permitted. Any age/height.
Class 30 Best Gelding - Inhand or Ridden, lead rein permitted. Any age/height.

Class 32 Judge the Horse/Pony would like to take home - Inhand or Ridden, lead rein permitted. Any age/height.

Class 34 Consolation Class – Free to enter – Open to all Horses/Ponies who have entered a showing class today but have not won a rosette – All entries win a rosette!!

Rules & Conditions of Entry
1. This event will run under current riding club rules
2. The committee reserve the right to refuse entry or disqualify any animal that is deemed unfit to compete
3. The committee & land owners will not be responsible for any injuries arising from accidents to persons or animals, or theft of properties on the ground during the event.
4. The judges decision is final, the committee reserves the right to alter or vary the schedule or to decline entry.
5. Hard Hats are compulsory at all times when mounted & for safety should comply with current standards.
6. All horses & ponies must be at least 4 years old & over to compete in ridden classes.
7. STALLIONS – any pony stallions not exceeding 138cm may NOT be ridden by anyone under the age of 12, stallions exceeding 138cm may NOT be ridden by anyone under the age of 14.
8. All foals being shown must be a minimum of 3 weeks old on the day of the show & mares with foals at foot must have obtained their fourth birthday.
9. All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Failure to do so will result in you being asked to leave the field. All dogs foul must be picked up.
10. STRICTLY NO CANTERING OR GALLOPING on the field between rings or you will be asked to leave the showground with no refunds.
11. Strictly no parking of horseboxes/trailers beside or in between the rings.
12. Objections must be handed to the Secretary IN WRITING within 15 minutes of the end of the class, together with a deposit of £10.Objections will be dealt with at the end of the day. In the event of a complaint, a height certificate may be required to be produced.
13. In the event of cancellation, entry fees will be refunded, minus a £2 administration charge. This runs alongside the conditions if the entire show is cancelled.
14. Refunds will only be issued on production of a vet’s/doctor’s certificate.
HEALTH & SAFETY
1. The committee has taken every reasonable precaution to ensure the health, safety & welfare of those attending the show. Members of the public & competitors are equally responsible for ensuring they do not put others at risk & that they cooperate with the organisers in compliance with Health & Safety Legislation.
2. In the interest of safety please ensure that Horses, Trailers, Lorries & all tack are left secure when unattended. 3. The onus is on every rider who suffers a fall or anyone who suffers an injury whilst in the field to report the fall/injury to the show secretary.
4. Traders associated with & the permission of FFRC ONLY to be welcome on the show field.
COVID RULES – run under the latest government Covid-19 Guidelines
1. All competitors must enter at least one class online extra classes may be entered on the day.
2. Your number will be given to you on entry to the showground, if you have not pre entered at least one class entrance will be declined.
3. PPE will be accepted and advised in the showing rings.
4. Everyone must abide by self distancing rules.
5. Please be aware toilet blocks will not be cleaned after every use.
6. No Spectators unless are part of your showing team.
7. Rings will be 1 way in and out to avoid unnecessary gatherings.
SOUTH WEST PONY ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIPS QUALIFYING RULES
This show is a qualifier for the South West Pony Association Championships to be held on 2- 4 September 2021 at The David Broome Event Centre, Crick, Monmouthshire. NP26 5XP
To qualify for the Championships:
1. Enter one of the qualifying classes.
2. Be one of the two highest placed exhibit not already qualified within first four and receive a qualification card.
3. Complete the entry form on the qualification card.
4. Register on-line at www.showingscene.com within 14 days of qualification
5. Upload this card using our on-line management system at www.showingscene.com
Please note: Registration fee for 2020/1 is £30 to include all members of the family and equines owned by the family.
