Vaccinations:
All horses/ ponies should have received a vaccination within 12 months of the date of the competition having already received their initial course of injections. There must be six clear days between the last vaccination and the date of the competition. Random checks will be taking place

Terms & Conditions

COVID-19 POLICY
If ANYONE has come into contact or has had any Covid-19 symptoms, it is paramount that you do NOT attend the event.
These Conditions are subject to change with the developing guidelines. Please ensure you are familiar with them prior to coming to the event. They will be kept current and relevant and will be updated to reflect current Government guidance. The Event Policy will not replace the applicable guidance and policies from domestic government and health authorities. It supplements their recommendations with important sport and event specific considerations. All persons on any Event site must adhere to HMG guidance and advice on Social Distancing Measures (https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus) (https://www.gov.scot/coronaviruscovid-19) and any direct guidance for sport resumption
✓ Rule of 6 – This will be the overriding principle for all outdoor social contact. All persons on venue are to comply with the rule of six and for groups to keep a 2m Social Distance.
✓ All Officials and Volunteers are to be kept to a minimum throughout the Event. Details of who is on venue will be recorded for Test & Trace requirements.
✓ Rule of 30 – This will be the overriding principle for all outdoor social contact. All persons on venue to comply with the rule of 30.
✓ All Personnel on site without an official role or under competitor protocols will be considered part of the public attendance.
✓ Public Attendance– A cap (which will remain under review) of 1000 people will be in place. All public attendees need to purchase tickets in advance and will be required to use the NHS app to register on venue or complete details to comply with Test and Trace requirements. Events to provide a C19 Compliance Steward for every 200 public attendees.
✓ NHS QR Code will be used on site.
✓ Athletes are asked to try and keep support crew to a minimum;
✓ 1 x Rider plus
✓ 2 x Support (This will allow trainers to be on venue – No direct coaching in warm up areas)
✓ All owners registered for the competing horse are able to attend.
✓ Owners – there no limit on owners!

Terms and Conditions
1. The horse trials will be run mainly in conjunction with British Eventing rules.
2. Hard hats to BE/PC/RC specifications must be worn at all times when mounted. ALL hats must have an up to date tag.
3. Body protectors to current BE/PC/RC standards are recommended in all phases but are compulsory for the crosscountry phase. Air Jackets may be worn but must be worn over a body protector.
4. It is compulsory that every person entering Cholmondeley Castle who is under the age of 18 years of age is accompanied by a responsible adult.
5. Event stopwatches are allowed.
6. It is compulsory that all dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
7. Horseboxes are not to be mucked out on site.8. The Management of Cholmondeley Castle & Musketeer Event Management reserves the right to remove anyone from the event at any time without giving a reason.
9. A paramedic team will be in attendance at the event.
10. A vet and a farrier will either be present or on call.
11. The event may be cancelled without notice due to adverse weather. In the event of adverse weather, it is recommended that you check social media @musketeerevents and the website www.musketeer.co.uk before you depart.
12. All horses/ponies must be 4 years old and over.
13. No horse/pony may compete in more than one class.
14. Substitutions Substituting a horse and rider combination in its entirety constitutes a new entry and a full entry fee must be paid plus a £5 administration fee. If substituting horse OR rider a £5 administration fee will be payable.
15. Cancellation If the event is cancelled before 26th July, entry fees will be refunded, minus a £10 admin fee per entry after the 26th July a £25.00 admin fee will be deducted.
16. COVID-19 Cancellation Prior to closing entries (CoE) or 21 days prior to event, whichever occurs first – 100%
Post CoE:
From CoE to 14 days prior to the first day of competition – 80% refund
From 13 days to 6 days prior to the first day of competition – 50% refund
From 5 days to 3 days prior to first day of competition – 30% refund
From 2 days to start of competition – no refund.
Any queries or complaints must be in writing and handed to the Organiser within 30 minutes of the incident together with a fee of £20, which will be refunded if the objection is upheld.
17. Withdrawals – Must be made in writing. Withdrawals for whatever reason prior to the closing date (26th July 2021) will receive a refund minus £10 admin fee. Withdrawals for whatever reason after the closing date (26th July 2021) will receive a full refund minus a £10 administration fee ONLY if the entry is filled. Withdrawals made 24 hours prior to the start of the event are non-refundable. Withdrawals during the event MUST be registered with the on-site secretary.
18. In the event of any rider travelling to a show on their own, details of a contact should be left with the secretary in case of an accident.
19. Any person who fails to comply with these terms & conditions will be liable to forfeit their fees & expulsion from showground.
20. My Riding Life charge a booking fee of £1.50 which is non-refundable.

Health and Safety
The organisers have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone attending this event. For these measures to be effective everyone present must themselves take reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. Instructions given by any Official must be obeyed. Any animal not under control or in any way constituting a danger may be asked to leave the showground. Owners enter their horses/ponies at their own risk, and it is a condition of entry that no liability of any kind attaches itself to Musketeer Event Management. There will be on event measures and protocols designed to safeguard everyone's health and wellbeing during the current and continuing COVID-19 situation, by entering the event you are agreeing to adhere to these protocols and help us to ensure that eventing can continue in a safe and appropriate manner.

Personal Injury and Equipment Insurance Notice
Musketeer Event Management does not insure the rider, your horse or your tack and equipment. You are strongly advised to have in place your own adequate personal accident insurance at all times. The Venue, Musketeer Event Management or anyone involved in the organisation of the event will not be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss to any person or their property however this may be caused.
