Show Information

Riders who have signed up with ‘Horses for Health UK Relay’ are invited to take part in an organised relay ride as part of the National event. Individuals, Pairs or Groups of riders (max 6) will be allocated 30mins to ride the farm track and clock up as many laps as possible in the time allowed before passing the baton on!

Ride as you prefer…teams can ride as a group, or as a relay between themselves for the half hour time slot.
For example:
Lap 1: walk (warm up) as a pair / group or individually
Lap 2: trot - again as a pair / group or individually
Lap 3: start a full relay with rider 1 setting off with the baton
Lap 4: rider 2 receives baton & sets off
Lap 5: rider 3 receives baton & sets off etc etc
Final lap: Group ride round as a group finale and cool down exercise
Upon completion, log your laps with the event steward and claim your Goody Bag! If you still have energy, why not extend your ride using the local bridleway network!

To take part in this unique event firstly register with Horses for Health UK Relay.
Once you receive your ID number, register for the organised ride on My Riding Life from 1st June 2021.

To raise extra funds, sponsorship is actively encouraged! 48hrs before the event receive your allocated time slot, then turn up and be ready to ride on time! Remember to wear your H4H hi-vi and hat band on the day!

We anticipate we will be well supported by campaign sponsors with trade stands on the day!

Payment Details & Event Fees

You can enter securely via our online booking service with My Riding Life.
All Payments and bookings come directly to Beechwood Equestrian Centre.
£5/ combination.

Special Classes

Horses for Health Relay aims to celebrate how much our horses have supported us during the COVID-19 pandemic whilst also raising funds and promoting awareness for: • Mental Health and Wellbeing: The huge positive impact from horses • Safety: Horse and other vulnerable road users' safety and awareness • Welfare: Equine rescue and welfare The Relay gives riders, drivers, and in-hand walkers the chance to be part of a huge community event, have fun with their horse and other equestrian enthusiasts whilst raising money for some fantastic causes.
