Competitors will jump a course of show jumps on surface followed by a BE Cross Country course on grass.
The 80cm, 90cm and 100cm classes are aimed at amateur competitors, giving them a chance to compete round a BE course and get a feel for a full-on BE day without the stress of dressage.
This is an unaffiliated event and you don't need to be a BE member to enter.

This competition is run under British Eventing rules. Each competitor is responsible for ensuring that they are conversant with the following:
1. No horse may compete more than once
2. Horse/rider combination cannot not have competed together at British Eventing 2 levels above class entry. Each class is explained below:
80cm – horse/rider combination cannot have competed British Eventing at 100cm and above
90cm – horse/rider combination cannot have competed British Eventing at Novice and above
100cm – horse/rider combination cannot have competed British Eventing at Intermediate and above
3. All hats must be PAS 015 1998 or 2011 or VG1 01.040 2014-12 standard with a BSO Kitemark or Inspec IC Mark, or a similar standard helmet. A BETA approved and appropriately labelled level 3 Body Protector with the year 2009 or after MUST BE WORN for the cross-country phase
4. Tack and Saddlery must comply with British Eventing regulations
5. Paper numbers will be worn, to be printed by competitors
6. If the rider is eliminated (including technical eliminations) in Show Jumping they CANNOT go Cross Country
7. If a rider has a fall, they must be seen by one of the designated medical staff immediately (and be cleared as fit to ride if a multiple rider)
8. If a rider has a fall in the Show Jumping warm up, they must be seen by the medical staff before competing
9. The judge’s decision is final. They may disqualify riders at any stage for dangerous riding, inappropriate behaviour or language, abuse of officials, misuse of whip or spurs, ill treatment of the horse or if in their opinion the horse is lame, sick of unfit to compete

11. There will be a drawn order and approximate start times will be given in advance of the day. Course walk will be available, no before 5pm Friday 16th July
12. The winner will be the competitor with the lowest number of penalties. In the event of a tie, the winner will be the one closest to, but under the optimum time with a clear round. We will not be disclosing the optimum time.
