COVID-19 Conditions of Use
Clients must NOT attend Bishop Burton College if they:
• Have been instructed to self-isolate by NHS 111 or NHS Tract & Trace
• Are in a household that is self-isolating
• Have shown any of the following symptoms in the last 14 days:
o A new continuous cough
o An elevated temperature/fever above 37.8c
o A loss of smell or taste
• Have come into contact with anyone with a confirmed case of Covid-19 without wearing appropriate medical-grade PPE.
Unaffiliated Dressage Rules and Conditions
• To be run in accordance with British Dressage Rules.
• Class sizes will be restricted and entries may close earlier if full.
• All horses and ponies must be four years old and over.
• Preliminary tests open to horses and ponies with no more than 10 BD or BE points only.
• All competitors are required to wear headgear that complies with the highest current safety standard.
• Bishop Burton College has a number of indoor and outdoor arenas which will be used for these competitions.
• Horses and Ponies MUST NOT be tied to the side of horseboxes or trailers and left unattended – please clear up any mess left by you or your horses
Conditions of Entry
• Payments must be contactless and in advance of booking.
• Social distancing must be maintained at all times.
• Please ensure a distance of 6 metres between all vehicles.
• There will be hand sanitiser at the gate into the arena, which must be used when entering and exiting the arena.
• Up to 6 people can attend per hire session, but from no more than 2 separate households and social distancing must be maintained at all times.
• Spectators are not permitted.
• Please ensure you wear gloves when handling any equipment and sanitise hands regularly throughout.
• Toilets will be available, but we ask wherever possible please use your own facilities, if you have them.
Equine Influenza Vaccinations: Primary vaccinations with an in-date 12-month booster. Spot checks will be carried out.
Bishop Burton College can only offer its facilities for hire on the understanding that these measures are adhered to. Bishop Burton College does not accept any responsibility or liability for any injury, accident, damage or illness to any person, property or animal whatsoever, or for any loss whatsoever, arising out of, or occurring at any competition, show, hire or event. It shall be a condition of entry/hire of the Centre that each entrant shall indemnify the organisers against any legal action whatsoever arising from any accident.
Equine Herpes Virus (EHV): As per British Dressage Competition Guidelines an Equine Health Status Declaration for Competition Form must be completed and sent to us 24 hours before the competition! This form will be e-mailed to competitors when times are published. This form should be completed by the rider or owner of the horse and submitted to the venue 24 hours before arrival at the show or as outlined in the event schedule. Failure to submit a declaration form before arrival will result in the entry being forfeited and the horse will not be allowed on to the venue.
