Our purpose built 20m x 60m outdoor arena is an ideal facility for private hire, clinics and events. With a high quality sand surface this arena is suitable for dressage and show jumping. The outdoor arena also benefits from breath taking views across the paddocks and to the old folly and village beyond

You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.

£22 per hour for one horse
Additional horses are available within the same hour at £6 per horse (maximum 4 horses)

We would like to advise you of the following Terms & Conditions of arena hire. These apply to all bookings at Martley Hall Stud* part of CS Family Ltd. and must be agreed to by the hirer prior to any event or hire. Confirmation of any hire is deemed to be acceptance of these terms and conditions.

All bookings will be treated as provisional until confirmation.
Private hire charges must be paid prior to hire date via online booking, by cheque or in person by card or cash. Please make cheques payable to CS Family Ltd.
All commercial bookings can be paid for in receipt of invoice in arrears and will be subject to VAT Commercial hirers must ensure their event is covered by suitable insurance and must indemnify Martley Hall Stud* part of CS Family Ltd. and its owners/staff against any claim for accident, injury, loss or similar, however caused to either horse, rider or spectators.
Commercial hirers must provide suitable First Aid for all events and must indemnify Martley Hall Stud* and its owners/staff against any claim for accident, injury, loss or similar, however caused to either horse, rider or spectators. Martley Hall Stud* reserves the right to halt any actions which it considers to be contrary to its Health and Safety Policy, or which it considers unsafe.
Due to circumstances beyond our control it may be necessary to change or cancel your booking. Where the change is considered major as decided by us, you will be offered the option to accept the change, or to receive a full refund of any monies paid against the booking. Martley Hall Stud* is not responsible for any other costs, expenses or damages which may have been incurred by the client or their guest/s as a result of the change.
Hirers must stick to their allocated time slot, so they don’t interfere with any other bookings.
Martley Hall Stud* reserves the right to cancel a booking if the hirer arrives 15 or more minutes late for their booked session.
A ‘No Show’ for a booking without prior cancellation or reasonable explanation will result in loss of full hire fees.
Use of the arena is at the hirer’s risk. All hirers are advised to check arena before entering to ensure that it has been left in a safe and good clean condition by the previous occupant, and are required to leave it in a safe and good clean condition
No smoking or drinking alcohol in arena.
All clients and their guests and customers are required to adhere to commonly accepted standards of decency and good behaviour. Racial abuse, discrimination, swearing and loud or aggressive conduct will not be tolerated. Martley Hall Stud* reserves the right to ask any person on the premises to leave immediately. Martley Hall Stud* reserve the right to refuse admission to any person without giving reason.
No horses are to be left tied up outside a horse box or lorry.
A horse must be accompanied by its passport whenever it leaves its own yard (unless it’s being moved on foot or hacked out.)
Martley Hall Stud runs a strict vaccination policy; annual vaccinations are required for all horses taking part in clinics or private hire sessions, and six monthly vaccinations are required for ALL horses taking part in competitions in line with BD rules.
No mucking out onto any indoor or outdoor areas. Charges will apply if Martley Hall Stud* staff to provide the service of clearing any indoor or outdoor area of litter and / or droppings.
Litter is to be taken home with you or disposed of in the big bins provided. Please use recycling bins if provided.
Children under 16 must be supervised at all times.
Please return any equipment used back to its storage area after use unless already set up prior to hire.
The hirer is responsible for any damage caused to the premises or equipment and must pay the total amount required to make good any such damage.
It is mandatory for all riders to wear a protective helmet to British standard EN1384 or PAS015 at ALL times while mounted on Martley Hall Stud* property. Body protectors are strongly advised, and suitable footwear worn.
We are sorry but dogs are NOT permitted on site without prior permission.
All hirers must bring someone with them or provide contact details in case of emergency.
Riding is a risky sport. Riding your own horse, or a horse on loan / lent to you at Martley Hall Stud*, using any of the facilities or riding in a competition or clinic at Martley Hall Stud* is done entirely at your own risk. Martley Hall Stud* takes no responsibility for any rider’s safety either whilst they are riding or when handling horses.
From time to time Martley Hall Stud* may take photos of the arenas or facilities in use, for the purposes of marketing; via sales materials or through social media, Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. Please email us at admin@martleyhall.co.uk if you DO NOT wish images of you or your horse to be used in this way.

By confirming this booking, you acknowledge that you have read and agree with the Terms & Conditions of hire of the arenas and facilities at Martley Hall Stud*
