Show Information

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE MADE IN ADVANCE, EITHER ONLINE OR BY POST. NO ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN ON THE DAY.
The course covers approximately 11 miles over one of Hampshire’s most stunning areas of countryside and outstanding natural beauty. There is an optional shorter route. Every line of jumps and road crossings will be stewarded. A rosette will be presented to every rider and a photographer will be on the course.

The ride will start and finish in the heart of Faccombe Estate directions for parking will be well signed.

From the A34 (Newbury): take the A343 towards Andover (please avoid Ashmansworth). At Hurstbourne Tarrant take the first right to Netherton (opposite the garage complex). After approximately a mile turn right to Faccombe and then follow the signs. What 3 Words ///rank.fraction.neckline

Entry and exit from the car park will be two different routes.

Postal entries
Please complete the Entry Form and send with a cheque made payable to the “Faccombe Estates Ltd” to the Estate Office, Faccombe, Andover, Hampshire, SP11 0DS.

For online entries, the receipt of the entry fee will be taken as your agreement to abide by the rules and the conditions of entry.

Postal entries to be received by Thursday 17th June £30 per rider
Online entries to be received by 9.00 pm Saturday 19th June £30 per rider
Children 15 years and under £15 per rider (Children under 12 must be escorted by an adult)

Terms & Conditions

RULES

  1. No entry fees will be refunded unless Government Guidelines or Legislation prohibit the safe running of the Event.   The Organising Committee reserves the right to make an administrative deduction to cover its costs.   In the event of illness or injury to rider or horse, the entry can be transferred to another ride.
  2. All riders and anyone accompanying them must abide by any required social distancing or other coronavirus protection measures which may be in place at the time of the ride. It is everyone’s individual responsibility to ensure their own health and minimise any risk to any others.
  3. Anyone feeling unwell, with Covid-19 type symptoms must not attend. 
  4. Hard hats which meet the current BSI standards and body protectors are strongly recommended. Appropriate cross country dress to be worn.
  5. Horses and ponies must be at least four years old.
  6. Any horse or pony showing signs of infectious disease, eg EHV, or coming from a yard with suspected or confirmed cases, must not attend. 
  7. Children under twelve must be escorted by an adult.
  8. Riders must not deviate from the course under any circumstances.
  9. Any rider riding in a dangerous or reckless manner will be sent home.
  10. The decision of the organizers on any matter shall be final.
  11. Dogs to be kept on a lead at all times.
  12. No horse/pony may be ridden round the course more than once.
  13. Every effort should be made to give way to faster riders and likewise, faster riders must respect slower riders and make every effort to avoid upsetting slower horses when they pass. 14. Please ensure that you finish the course by 3:00 pm when the stewards will be stood down.

Faccombe Estates Ltd, the Vine & Craven Hunt and the Owners of the property, the organizers, all persons and all organizations involved in this ride disclaim all liability for any damage to any person or property that may happen from any cause or circumstance, or for any legal proceedings arising. All participants and other interested persons are responsible for making their own insurance arrangements.
