The ride covers approximately 10 miles over the Lambourn Downs, with lovely scenery and wonderful views. There will be optional jumps to suit all abilities, and a shorter route will be available. A rosette will be presented to every rider who completes the course.

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE MADE IN ADVANCE. NO ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN ON THE DAY.

Postal entries to be received by Thursday 9th September £30 per rider
Online entries to be received by 9.00 pm Saturday 11th September £30 per rider
Children 16 years and under £15 per rider (Children under 12 must be escorted by an adult)

 For online entries, the receipt of the entry fee will be taken as your agreement to abide by the rules and the conditions of entry.

RULES

1.     No entry fees will be refunded unless Government Guidelines or Legislation prohibit the safe running of the Event.  The Organising Committee reserves the right to make an administrative deduction to recover its costs.  In the event of illness or injury to rider or horse, the entry can be transferred to another ride. 

2.     All riders and anyone accompanying them must abide by any required social distancing or other coronavirus protection measures which may be in place at the time of the ride.   It is everyone’s individual responsibility to ensure their own health and minimise any risk to any others.

3.     Anyone feeling unwell, with Covid-19 type symptoms must not attend.  

4.     Hard hats which meet the current BSI standards and body protectors are strongly recommended.   Appropriate cross country dress to be worn.

5.     Horses and ponies must be at least four years old.

6.     Any horse or pony showing signs of infectious disease, eg EHV, or coming from a yard with suspected or confirmed cases, must not attend.  

7.     Children under twelve must be escorted by an adult. 

8.     Riders must not deviate from the course under any circumstances.

9.     Any rider riding in a dangerous or reckless manner will be sent home.

10.  The decision of the organizers on any matter shall be final.

11.  Dogs to be kept on a lead at all times.

12.  No horse/pony may be ridden round the course more than once.

13.  No horses/ponies, spectators or vehicles are permitted on the gallops at any time.

14.  Every effort should be made to give way to faster riders and likewise, faster riders must respect slower riders and make every effort to avoid upsetting slower horses when they pass.

15.  Please ensure that you finish the course by 3:00 pm when the stewards will be stood down.

The Vine & Craven Hunt, the Owners of the property, the organizers, all persons and all organizations involved in this ride disclaim all liability for any damage to any person or property that may happen from any cause or circumstance, or for any legal proceedings arising.  All participants and other interested persons are responsible for making their own insurance arrangements.
