Rule 316. DRAWN ORDER Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes will be withheld. Rule - 76.6 Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members a) For horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 125 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with Rule 316.6. b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2016 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of four years or under in the same calendar year as the British Novice Final - in accordance with Rule 316.6. Qualifies for: Senior British Novice Championship - Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May - 30th April inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four British Novice First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in the British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification. If combined with an open: In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the British Novice section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded. In Category 2 Shows the sections must always be split with two sets of prize money awarded, irrespective of starters.

Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of five years or under in the same calendar year as the Discovery Final - in accordance with Rule 314.6. Qualifies for: Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four First Round competitions held in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in the Senior Discovery Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Newcomers Final - in accordance with Rule 312.6. Four double clears will qualify for the Senior Newcomers Second Rounds. Qualifying period: The Senior Newcomers Second Round qualifying period for 2019/2020 (2020 second rounds and finals) is 1 June - 31 May inclusive. The Senior Newcomers Second Round qualifying period for 2020/2021 (2021 second rounds and finals) is 1 May – 30 April (subject to revision). Four double clears will qualify for the Senior Foxhunter Second Rounds. Qualifying period: The Senior Foxhunter Second Round qualifying period for 2019/2020 (2020 second rounds and finals) is 1 June - 31 May inclusive. The Senior Foxhunter Second Round qualifying period for 2020/2021 (2021 second rounds and finals) 1 May – 30 April (subject to revision). Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2020 are not eligible for qualification to the 2021 Championship. Withdrawals/Refunds
Affiliated shows are required to repay 50 % of the entry fees in respect of all entry cancellations which are received by the Show Organiser not later than 48 hours before noon of the day on which the first affiliated competition of the show is scheduled to start except in those circumstances outlined in Rule 79.5.

Terms & Conditions
HATS must be worn whenever mounted and conform to PAS15 (1998 or 2011). VG01.040 2014-12. with a BSI Kite mark or Inspec IC mark. ASTM F1163.2004a onwards with SEI mark SNELL E2001 or 2016 (No additional mark required) ONLY Jockey skull hats without a peak (greater than 5mm smooth and rounded in nature) may be worn for cross country. Hat silks may be worn with flexible peak. It must also comply with the above safety standards for hats. BODY PROTECTORS A body protector is obligatory for all arena eventing and cross-country hiure/events and are also strongly recommended for all show jumping events. A BETA Level 3 (blue label) which has a 2009 label must be worn. Body protectors should be fitted and worn as per the manufacturer’s instructions. If a rider chooses to wear an airbag style body protector it must be worn over a permitted body protector and if activated, must be deflated or removed before continuing. Hybrid Air jackets and Helite Air Jackets are permitted. It is recommended that body protectors are replaced once they are more than 5 years old. Riders wearing Exo Body Cage protectors must inform the office/secretary at all hire events. CORRECT dress & footwear with defined heels must be worn. Long hair to be suitably tied back. ALL horses and ponies must be four years old and over. Riders only 8 years old and over will be permitted to hire/ride on any part of the XC facilities. Riders under 14 must be accompanied by an adult with a working mobile phone at all times. ENTRIES accepted at rider’s risk. SRC reserve the right to refuse an entry at their discretion, cancel, amend or amalgamate any booking for any reason whatsoever. INSURANCE Each rider must carry their own liability insurance whether Riding Club, Pony Club, BHS, BS, BD, BE or independent cover.

HEALTH & SAFETY The organisers of this hire event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards. Those attending any hire event must report any accidents to the office ASAP. Please report any broken jumps or damage to the office or grounds team immediately. Please do not leave unattended horses tied to lorries and no hay nets to be tied to the outside of lorries or trailers. Solihull Riding Club welcomes responsible dog owners. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY save for the death or injury caused by the negligence of the organisers of the event, no liability is accepted for any accident, loss or damage, injury or illness to horses, ponies, owners, riders, spectators, vehicles their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any way whatsoever. By entering this hire event and making payment, you are electronically signing the declaration prior to riding the course/XC facilities, that you have read and fully understand the course rules and agree to abide by them.

COVID-19 precautions You must not attend site if you, or any of those travelling with you, or anyone from your household is exhibiting any symptoms of being unwell. Social distancing of 2 meters or more must be strictly adhered to at all times. Please only bring one helper with you. We will not accept anyone just “turning up”. No person is to access any other part of the site other than the overflow car park and walking through the main car park to the outdoor arena or second indoor arena. The main building will be closed to visitors. No person should enter any other Lorry or car/trailer, or move close to any other rider, client, instructor, official or member of staff or any other member of the public at any time. You will have an allotted time for your round, please only arrive on site a maximum of 1 hour before your time and leave as promptly as possible afterwards, to ensure limited numbers on site at any time. Please do not enter the arena more than 30 minutes before your allotted time in order to warm up.

Government guidelines could change quickly at any time; therefore Solihull Riding Club reserve the right to close site at short notice.
