Rule - 76.6 • British Novice: Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 125 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with Rule 316.6. b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2016 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of four years or under in the same calendar year as the British Novice Final - in accordance with Rule 316.6 Qualifies for: Senior British Novice Championship - Second Round. Qualifying period:1st May - 30th April inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four Senior British Novice First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in the Senior British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification. If combined with an open: In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the British Novice section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded. In Category 2 Shows the sections must always be split with two sets of prize money awarded, irrespective of starters. • 90cm Open: For registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. Riders who have ever competed as a team member of any Senior International Team (4* or 5* Nations Cup in the last 10 years, World, European Championships & Olympic Games) are not eligible. Pony Riders, Children, Juniors and Young Riders who have ever competed in Nations Cup/International Team Events and European Championships in the last five years are not eligible (excluding Veterans and Para Teams). Qualifies for: 95cms National Amateur Second Rounds Qualifying period: 1st September - 31st August inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those horse/rider combinations which jump clear in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least five 95cm National Amateur First Round competitions held in the qualifying period will qualify to compete in the respective height classes at the National Amateur Championships. Rule - 76.6 • Discovery: a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 225 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with Rule 314.6. b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2015 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of five years or under in the same calendar year as the Discovery Final - in accordance with Rule 314.6. Qualifies for: Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four First Round competitions held in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in the Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). (Age rule applies) Please note that in accordance with the amendment to BS Rule 312 all 6yr old horses are now eligible regardless of points won, but to qualify the horse must be 6yrs old in the year of the Final ie 2021. Therefore any horses which are 6yrs old from 1st September 2020 to 31st December 2020 and have won more than 375 points are unable to qualify in any qualifiers held from 1st September 2020 to 31st December 2020. Rule - 76.6 • Foxhunter: (a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 700 points. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule 310.6 (b) For all registered horses born on or after 1 January 2013, irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of seven years or under in the same calendar year as the Foxhunter Final - in accordance with rule 310.6 Four double clears will qualify. Four double clears will qualify for the Senior Foxhunter Second Rounds. Qualifying period: The Senior Foxhunter Second Round qualifying period for 2019/2020 (2020 second rounds and finals) is 1 June - 31 May inclusive. The Senior Foxhunter Second Round qualifying period for 2020/2021 (2021 second rounds and finals) 1 May – 30 April (subject to revision). Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2020 are not eligible for qualification to the 2021 Championship. Prize Information

All prize money is paid by BACS to the rider. Bank account number and sort code must be provided for this purpose. Prize money is usually paid a few days following the close of the show.

Withdrawals/Refunds

In line with BS rule 79.5 cancellations received by noon 48 hours before the first day of the competition will have 50% of the entry fees refunded. After this time, no refunds or transfers will be given.

IMPORTANT – Rules pertaining to the Health & Safety of all persons at Wellington Riding.
i) All competitors should wear a correctly fastened hat to the current BSI Standards at all times when mounted on the show ground.
ii) All dogs should be kept on a lead at all times.
iii) All horses or ponies, when outside the arena, should be moved at the walk only, to ensure the safety of all spectators and pedestrians.
iv) Children under the age of 16 years should be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 yrs, who will be held responsible for their behaviour and welfare.
v) Please note that flash photography is strictly forbidden. Mobile phones should be switched off during competitions. Smoking is prohibited anywhere on site
vi) For safety reasons, the gate across the main driveway must be kept closed at all times.
vii) In line with BS rule 79.5 cancellations received by noon 48 hours before the first day of the competition will have 50% of the entry fees refunded. After this time, no refunds or transfers will be given.

Although every effort will be made to ensure the safety of participants, horse riding is a risk sport and therefore, Wellington Riding and its staff cannot accept responsibility for any accident, damage or injury to horses, riders, owners or other persons or property.

If weather conditions are extreme, please ring and check in case of cancellation.

**COVID Guidelines**
1) If you or someone you have recently been in contact with is showing any of the following symptoms: unusual tiredness/fatigue, fever or high temperature, dry cough, aches, pains, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, diarrhoea, then we ask that you please DO NOT attend these events.
2) Each competitor can be accompanied by one person per horse
3) Social distancing of 2m MUST be adhered to at all times.
4) Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the facility.
5) Face masks must be worn for course walks, when at the Secretary's office and when inside the Clubhouse and Café.
6) Vaccinations for all horses must be up to date and must be current within the last 12 months. Please bring your horse's passport with you.
