Entries Close: At 9am Monday 02/11/20 before the Saturday competition (Entries may be limited, in this event entries may close early & there will be a waiting list).
The competition will consist of a course of approx 8 show jumps on the outdoor surface, jump out of the arena and immediately followed by a timed XC section of approx 10 XC fences on grass, including the water splash, and jump back into the outdoor arena.
This will be subject to weather and ground conditions permitting.
An undisclosed optimum time will be set for the cross-country phase. The rider will proceed immediately from the show jumps to the cross-country jumps (one continuous course).
All courses will be encouraging, inviting & suitable for novices/1st time runners.
Riders only 8 years old and over will be permitted to enter this competition.
DRESS CODE - Cross country attire for both phases, please see specific details below.
WARM UP – Second indoor arena will be limited to 5 riders at a time.

Payment is secure and it goes directly to Solihull Riding Club.
You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.
Entry Fees: SRC Members £30.00 Non Members £35.00
Includes 1st Aid cover.
We will not be providing number bibs or numbers for this event due to COVID-19 precautions. If you have your own number bib and wish to use it, please print your number to put inside.
PRIZES
There will be no scoreboard on site in order to avoid people gathering and due to social distancing, results will only be available online after the event. Rosettes and prizes will be posted out. Please only bring one person to assist you/with your horse. Spectators are not currently allowed.
Prizes to 3rd place in each class (dependant on starters 1-10 / 11-20 / 21-30)

Vouchers can be redeemed against future entry fees, hire of facilities and 50% of upfront annual membership
Refunds: Entries will only be refunded/transferred if notified by 9am on the Monday before the competition (02/11)
General Rules
HATS must be worn whenever mounted and conform to PAS015 (1998 or 2011). VG01.040 2014-12. with a BSI Kite mark or Inspec IC mark
ASTM F1163.2004a onwards with SEI mark SNELL E2001 or 2016 (No additional mark required)
ONLY Jockey skull hats without a peak (greater than 5mm smooth and rounded in nature) may be worn for cross country. Hat silks may be worn with flexible peak. It must also comply with the above safety standards for hats.
BODY PROTECTORS A body protector is obligatory for all arena eventing and cross-country events and are also strongly recommended for all show jumping events. A BETA Level 3 (purple label) which has a 2009 label OR Blue 2018 label must be worn. Body protectors should be fitted and worn as per the manufacturer’s instructions. If a rider chooses to wear an airbag style body protector it must be worn over a permitted body protector and if activated, must be deflated or removed before continuing. Hybrid Air jackets and Helite Air Jackets are permitted. It is recommended that body protectors are replaced once they are more than 5 years old. Riders wearing Exo Body Cage protectors must inform the secretary at all events.
CORRECT dress & footwear must be worn.
ALL horses and ponies must be four years old and over. Riders only 8 years old and over will be permitted to enter this competition.
ENTRIES accepted at rider’s risk. SRC reserve the right to refuse an entry at their discretion, cancel, amend or amalgamate any class for any reason whatsoever. The Judge’s decision is final.
INSURANCE Each competitor must carry their own liability insurance whether Riding Club, Pony Club, BHS, BS, BD, BE or independent cover.
HEALTH & SAFETY The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards. Those attending this event must report any accidents to the secretary or organizer of the event
Please do not leave unattended horses tied to lorries and no hay nets to be tied to the outside of lorries or trailers.
Solihull Riding Club welcomes responsible dog owners. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY save for the death or injury caused by the negligence of the organisers of the event, no liability is accepted for any accident, loss or damage, injury or illness to horses, ponies, owners, riders, spectators, vehicles their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any way whatsoever.
COVID-19 precautions
You must not attend site if you, or any of those travelling with you, or anyone from your household is exhibiting any symptoms of being unwell.
Social distancing of 2 meters or more must be strictly adhered to at all times.
Please only bring one helper with you – Track & Trace form required
We will not accept anyone just “turning up”.
The main building will be closed to visitors.
No person should enter any other Lorry or car/trailer, or move close to any other rider, client, instructor, official or member of staff or any other member of the public at any time.
You will have an allotted time for your competitive round, please only arrive on site a maximum of 1 hour before your time and leave as promptly as possible afterwards, to ensure limited numbers on site at any time.
Please do not enter the arena more than 30 minutes before your allotted time in order to warm up.
There will be limited toilet facilities available on site and please ensure you bring an adequate supply of water for you and your horse.
Government guidelines could change quickly at any time; therefore Solihull Riding Club reserve the right to close site at short notice.
