• The ride will be in two loops, together covering approximately 6 miles over beautiful tracks and through historic woodland - the first loop crosses over the start, so younger horses or riders can finish the ride after one loop if preferred.
• You will be travelling across the same ground that the Cavaliers and Roundheads famously fought over in the Battle of Cheriton, back in 1644
• In order to reduce the risk of accidents during the current pandemic, this will be a non-jumping ride.

Cost:

• £25 per rider
• Children 16 years and under £16 per rider (Children under 12 must be escorted by an adult)

A rosette will be presented to every rider who completes the course.

1. All riders and anyone accompanying them must abide by any required social distancing or other coronavirus protection measures which may be in place at the time of the ride. It is everyone’s individual responsibility to ensure their own health and minimise any risk to any others.
2. Anyone feeling unwell, with Covid-19 type symptoms must not attend. Please contact us for a refund or to transfer your entry to another ride.
3. Hard hats which meet the current BS standards and body protectors are strongly recommended. Appropriate cross country dress to be worn.
4. Horses and ponies must be at least four years old.
5. Children under twelve must be escorted by an adult.
6. Riders must not deviate from the course under any circumstances.
7. Any rider riding in a dangerous or reckless manner will be sent home.
8. No entries will be refunded without a medical or vet’s certificate (except as in Rule 2).
9. In the event of cancellation the entry fee will be refunded less £1.50 per entry for administration costs.
10. The decision of the organizers on any matter shall be final.
11. Dogs to be kept on a lead at all times.
12. No horse/pony may be ridden round the course more than once.
13. No horses/ponies, spectators or vehicles are permitted on the gallops at any time.
14. Every effort should be made to give way to faster riders and likewise, faster riders must respect slower riders and make every effort to avoid upsetting slower horses when they pass.
15. Please ensure that you finish the course by 2:00 pm when the stewards will be stood down.

HH Events, the Owners of the property, the organisers, all persons and all organisations involved in this ride disclaim all liability for any damage to any person or property that may happen from any cause or circumstance, or for any legal proceedings arising. All participants and other interested persons are responsible for making their own insurance arrangements.
