By kind permission of Lord and Lady Mornington. Set within the beautiful and unique Stratfield Saye Estate the ride will take you across 10 miles of off road private parkland.

The day will include:

DIRECTIONS

From M4 J11: Follow signs for Basingstoke A33, straight over two sets of traffic lights. Continue to the end of the duel carriageway and turn right at the roundabout. Follow the road to the end then turn left, then take the first left and then turn left once again to Stratfield Saye House.

From Basingstoke: Follow the A33 to Reading, pass the Wellington Arms Hotel and turn left at the next roundabout. Follow the road to the end then turn left, then take the first left and then turn left once again to Stratfield Saye House.

Payment Details & Event Fees

Online Pre - Entry: £35 per rider. Online entries close 9th August. £4 first aid fee.

Withdrawals/Refunds

A 50% refund is available if withdrawal received before 12pm on Monday 9th August. No refunds after this date. No transfers.

Terms & Conditions

Entry constitutes an agreement to be bound by & to abide by the Rules and Regulations below and agreement to the disclaimer:

1.     The Driver is accountable for ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all participants on their carriage. 

2.     The Driver is responsible for following the government guidelines which apply on the day of the event, for all the participants on their carriage.

3.     All Participants must hold valid public liability insurance to take part in this event. Please email your society membership number/insurance policy no. to ridingshows@wellington.co.uk in advance of the drive.

For example:

a.     Personal Insurance

b.     British Horse Society Gold Membership

c.     British CarriageDriving Full or Associate Membership (not affiliated club membership)

d.     British Driving Society Membership

4.     All carriages must have a driver and able bodied groom as a minimum (no sharing with another)

5.     Carriages must not carry more passengers than designed for – welfare of the horse is paramount

6.     Junior Drivers must be at least 12yrs old with a competent adult seated next to them.  Grooms must be at least 12 yrs. old if the driver is over 18yrs old.  For drivers under 18yrs old, grooms must be over 18yrs old

7.     All horses, ponies & donkeys must be at least 4 years old

8.     Hard hats conforming to the current standards must be worn by all participants when mounted on the carriage

9.     Participants should satisfy themselves that the condition of their vehicle, harness and equipment is adequate to meet the needs of the event.  Spares kits and  basic first aid (human/horse) should be carried on the vehicle

10.  All accidents must be reported to the Event Secretary, organiser or other event official at the time of occurrence.
