The course covers approximately 10 miles over beautiful downland taking in Ladle Hill and Beacon Hill with plenty of optional jumps for all abilities. There is an optional shorter route. Every line of jumps and the one road crossing will be stewarded. A rosette will be presented to every rider and a photographer will be on the course.

The ride will start and finish near Manor Farm, Old Burghclere (off the A.34) directions for parking will be well signed.

From the South Exit A.34, follow signs for Highclere Castle; turn right at the top of the slip road back over the A34 then left on to the old A34. After 500 yards take the right turn signed Kingsclere – the parking field is ½ mile further on.

From the North Exit A.34 at Tothill; take the 2nd left at the roundabout follow signs for Highclere Castle. Turn right at the T-junction. After a mile take the left turn signed to Kingsclere – the parking field is ½ mile further on.

Postal entries Please complete the Entry Form and send with a cheque made payable to the “Vine and Craven Hunt” to Daphne Barr-Hamilton Ambrose Cottage, Lamplands, Ramsbury, Marlborough SN82PW.

Postal entries to be received by the Thursday before the ride £25 per rider.
Online entries by 9.00pm the Friday before the ride £25 per rider.
Children 16 years and under - £16 (Children under 12 must be escorted by an adult).
Entries on the Day to register before 12.00 noon £30 per rider (Children £20 each).

&&RULES
1. Hard hats which meet the current BS standards and body protectors are strongly recommended. Appropriate cross country dress to be worn.
2. Horses and ponies must be at least four years old.
3. Children under twelve must be escorted by an adult.
4. Riders must not deviate from the course under any circumstances.
5. Any rider riding in a dangerous or reckless manner will be sent home.
6. No entries will be refunded without a medical or vet’s certificate.
7. The decision of the organizers on any matter shall be final.
8. Dogs to be kept on a lead at all times.
9. No horse/pony may be ridden round the course more than once.
10. Please ensure that you finish the course by 3:00 pm when the stewards will be stood down.

Every effort should be made to give way to faster riders and likewise, faster riders must respect slower riders and make every effort to avoid upsetting slower horses when they pass.
