Qualifiers for NATIONAL PONY SOCIETY SUPREME DRESSAGE CHAMPIONSHIP  2021, 

National Pony Society Dressage Championships 
Qualifying rounds are open to competitors from the UK and elsewhere. All qualifiers will receive a qualification card, The Final will run in accordance with the 2019/2020 NPS Dressage Rules which will be available to all NPS Members.

The two highest placed ponies in each section at each qualifying show will qualify for the 2020 Final and also be eligible to be chosen to represent their Breed, NPS Area or other team in the Team Challenge which will be incorporated into the 2020 Championship Final. Horse/ponies must be ridden at the Final by the qualifying rider. You must be fully paid up Dressage, Qualifying or Life members of the NPS for 2020 in order to compete at the Final.
The 6 sections are listed below. The horse/rider combination can only compete in one section at the final.
1 Registered Mountain & Moorland breeds not exceeding 138cm
2 Registered Mountain & Moorland breeds exceeding 138cm
3 Registered British Riding Ponies
4 Part Bred Horses/Ponies registered with their appropriate Native Breed Part Bred Stud Book – including Part Bred Arab ponies over stamped in the British Riding Pony Stud book and ponies registered with the British Sports Pony Stud Book. Please note Part Bred Native ponies and Sports ponies over stamped within the British Riding Pony & Stud Book may only compete in one section per season.
5 Highest placed Mini rider aged under 12 years on 1st January 2019
6 Highest placed Junior rider under 18 years on 1st January 2019


 

Terms & Conditions

• All horses must be vaccinated annually in accordance with BRC rules prior to January 2020 and that no injection to be within 6 days prior to the event, horses can compete if they have the first two injections as long as no injection was given in the 6 days prior to the event. Spot checks may be made, and the rules may change if circumstances change. • For all test requirements please see the British Riding Clubs website at www.bhs.org.uk or British Dressage at www.britishdressage.co.uk • British Riding Club Rules 2020 will apply • Any protest against a decision of the judges should be made in accordance with riding club rule G14 of 2018 rule book. • Hard hat with fixed straps (Riding Club Rules 2020) to be worn at all times when mounted. • No horse under the age of four may compete in Dressage and Ridden Showing classes. • STALLIONS and COLTS must be shown in a suitable bit and bridle with a STALLION DISC. Stallions and colts must not be led by juniors under the age of 18. • No horses allowed who are not competing • It shall be deemed a condition of entry that the organisers and landowner and their agents shall not be held responsible for any loss, injury or damage to competitors, spectators, their property, servants or horses & ponies, howsoever caused on the showground • A BHS First Aider will be present at the show. Medical facilities will be limited to standard NHS accident and emergency call out • Please take all rubbish home with you and pick up droppings and hay from the car park • The organisers reserve the right to retain a proportion of the entry fee for administration purposes in the event of cancellation of the competition. • All Competitors and/or owners must have their own insurance which includes suitable public liability. • The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers Officials and Stewards. • Entry fees will not be returned unless a vet or doctors’ certificate is provided. • Withdrawals: If you realise you cannot attend, please contact us a.s.a.p. by phone or email (hrrc.jess@gmail.com)
