Show Information

We are delighted to present to you our second Unaffiliated Three Day Event, which is aimed at riders who would like to experience the fun of competing away from home with stabling on site, a full cross country course, dressage for the 70cm and 80cm in a short arena and a long arena for 90 and 100cm and show jumping in reverse order to provide and exciting climax to the weekend with great camaraderie and a fantastic friendly atmosphere!

We aim to have dressage and the welcome reception on Friday, cross country and a trot up in front of the ground jury and reverse order show jumping on Sunday. There will be no roads and tracks or steeplechase in our event meaning that 100% of the competition will be held on surface, perfect for protecting your horses’ legs. No hard ground here! There will also be a mounted prize giving for the top 10 in each class.

Rider Numbers
On Friday morning, please report to the office to pay your start fee (£10) and also to collect your number. Please note we will only provide the paper insert, you will need to provide your own bib! The number must be worn whenever the horse is being ridden or out of his/her stable, this can be either in your bib or as a bridle number.

Timetable
This is just a rough guide and is subject to change

Thursday
Arrival at leisure between 2pm and 7pm. If you plan to arrive outside of these times please advise us on your entry form and call us on the day to confirm with your mobile number.

Friday - Dressage day!
The dressage will consist of short arena tests for 70cm & 80cm classes and long arena tests for the 90cm & 100cm classes. It will be held in our outdoor arena (weather dependant). The warm up will be marked and there will be a steward on hand to answer any queries. Please make sure you are warmed up in plenty time for your dressage slot! The cross country will be available to walk in the afternoon/ early evening and guided course walks from an international event rider will be taking place. Times for these will be advertised on the day. In the evening all riders are invited to a welcome party with some prosecco and canapes to be held in our restaurant. We will also be serving our normal menu and our fully stocked bar will be open.

Saturday - Cross Country day!
The cross country course will be designed and build by International designer Angus Smales. All jumps are solid and built to British Eventing standards. The course will be longer than a standard one day course so care must be taken to ensure that both the horse and rider have undertaken sufficient fitness work to avoid any injuries or undue stress! Due to our event (including cross country course) being completely on surface there is no risk of bad ground!

Sunday - Show Jumping
A trot up will be held on Sunday morning (time to be confirmed) infront of the Ground Jury to ensure that the horses are fit and well after a day’s cross country (please note- you will only be eligible for the trot up if you have not been eliminated from competition). All horses should be plaited and well turned out.

Following on from this the showjumping will begin for each class in reverse order (so the leader after cross country will jump last). The course will be designed by a British Show jumping course designer and will be up to height. There will be a mounted prize giving at the conclusion of each class.
