Competitors jump one round of a mixture of show jumps and cross country style jumps with the second section being timed. Jumping penalties from both sections will count and the fastest time with the fewest jumping penalties will decide the placings.
Style/Appearance Rules:
Competitors are automatically entered into this element of the competition.
Each rider to be judged on the following:
1. Rhythm
2. Approach
3. Rider position and seat
4. Partnership/harmony
5. Overall impression/appearance
Team Rules:
• Teams to be made up of 3 or 4 members from the same Branch or Centre.
• Best 3 scores to count.

Places are limited, a waiting list will be held. No entries will be taken on the day.

Team Competitions - rosettes to 4th place in each class
1. Health, Safety and Welfare: The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the Officials and Stewards.
2. Legal Liability: Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event to which these rules apply or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
3. This competition will be run in accordance with Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2019. It is the responsibility of all competitors to know the rules. Please refer to the main Pony Club website for full rule book.
4. In the event of cancellation, £5 of each individual entry fee will be retained to defray expenses. If this event is cancelled, team organisers should send an SAE to the Entries’ Secretary.
5. The Event organisers reserve the right to run the Classes in any order to suit the entries received.
6. The judges’ decision is final in all cases. Video evidence will not be accepted under any circumstances.
7. The warming up of horses/ponies shall take place only in the collecting ring. Horses/ponies may only be ridden by the competitor in the designated warm up area. Horses/ponies must be walked in all other areas. Horses/Ponies cannot be ridden by anyone else other than the competitor.
8. Please ensure that the area around your horseboxes / trailers are left clean and tidy and in particular that all droppings and hay are cleared up. Horses and ponies tied up to the outside of horseboxes or trailers must not be left unattended.
9. No pony can compete more than once in each class and no more than 2 different classes.
10. Hats – Must conform to the latest hat standards and be tagged with green tags please. Hat tagging may be requested for £1.
11. Long sleeved jackets/shirts/xc tops must be worn.
12. Entry fees refunded ONLY on production of doctor's or veterinary certificate within 7 days of the date of the show.
13. Team entries must be signed by Branch DC, trainer or Centre Proprietor
14. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and remain the responsibility of the owner. If any dog is found loose on the College grounds unattended, then appropriate action will be taken. Dogs are not allowed into the viewing gallery. These are the venues rules.
15. Anyone wishing to lodge a complaint will be required to first deposit the sum of £20 with the Secretary within 30 minutes of the incident. If the complaint is not upheld then the £20 will be considered forfeit.
16. Prize Giving will be unmounted at the end of each class. Riders should be correctly dressed.
