This class will be judged at walk. Lead Rein permitted. The Judge may then inspect competitors’ attire and horse/pony’s
tack closely, for historical accuracy. Competitors are required to submit a resumé and photograph of their costume with
their entry form, to confirm authenticity, which will be referred to by the Judge and Commentator. Resumé and
photograph must not exceed one A 4 size sheet of paper and be clearly marked with the Competitor’s name.

Championship Points Cards. N.B. Silk hats are permitted to be worn by Adults in this class at any time of day

Judge and Commentator. Resumé must not exceed one A 4 size sheet of paper and be clearly marked with the
Competitor’s name. Juniors must wear hats to current British Safety standards or above for this class.

(1’9”) 61cms (2’0”) 70cms (2’3”) 76cms (2’6”) 84cms (2’9”). Heights must be declared at time of entry, on the entry
form. To be judged on effective horsemanship, suppleness, straightness, position and poise, throughout all elements of
each jump, ie the approach, take off, flight, landing and get away. Class will be split if entries warrant. Hats to current
British Safety standards or above must be worn for this class.

SSA Side Saddle Riding Club Horse/Pony Open Class

Open to Adult and Junior SSA Members only. Open to horses and ponies 4 years old or over. Riders will be required
to walk, trot and canter in the go-round followed by a short show including two small jumps, maximum 61cms (2’). The
height may be adjusted during the class at the Judge’s discretion. The class shall be judged on the show, the manners of
horse/pony and its suitability for the rider. Conformation will not be considered. A Special rosette will be awarded to the
highest placed Adult and Junior Members of the SSA carrying their current Championship Points Cards. Hats to current
British Safety standards or above must be worn for this class.

Stables will be bedded with two bales of bedding
Additional bedding, hay/haylage is available on site, this MUST be booked in advance with
the Stable Yard Manager via email: info@aintreeequestriancentre.co.uk
All horses must have proof of full vaccination in line with current guidelines, which may be updated from time to time, before horses are unloaded and before
entry to Stables will be allowed. No horses will be allowed access into the Stables without adherence to these guidelines. Any changes to these
guidelines will be posted on the SSA website and International Weekend Facebook page as soon as they are known.
A £20 deposit will be taken on arrival for each stable, which if fully refundable when the stable has been fully emptied and swept out prior to being handed
back to the racecourse.
