Entries and Stable Booking close on Tuesday 14th May 2019 Show Jumping entries after this date entries will only be taken on the day, at a cost of £2 extra. All Show Jumping classes are open to all, Horses and Ponies any height, riders any age PLEASE NOTE: SJ Entries on the day may be very limited. Entries will only be taken on the day should there availability and when classes are full entries will be closed. We cannot guarantee your entry will be accepted on the day and therefore strongly advise that you enter prior to closing date Tuesday 14th May 2019 Arena Eventing classes are open to everyone, British Eventing members and non-members alike.
ARENA EVENTING These classes are open to everyone, British Eventing members and non-members alike.
FORMAT There will be 3 phases to the competition that are all linked and run consecutively against the clock. Phase 1 is approx. 6 show jumps, phases 2 is approx. 6 – 8 cross country obstacles which are a mix of solid fences and cross country style jumps made from rustic show jumps (such as a corner). Phase 3 is a further 6 – 7 show jumps which will all be set towards maximum height. Competitors start on the bell and complete the course as fast as possible.
SCORING 5 seconds will be added on for a knock down of a show jump, a total of 3 refusals will incur elimination, 1st fall of rider incurs 10 second penalty, 2nd fall of rider or 1st fall of horse will be elimination. Clear rounds take precedence and the winner is the person with the fastest time following the addition of all penalty time faults. i.e. in the event of a tie the person who has completed with fewest additional penalties will be the winner.
Payment Details & Event Fees
Entries in advance. You can enter using our Secure Online Entry System. Payment is secure and it goes directly to MEM Ltd. You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.
SHOW JUMPING: Classes £10 per entry, Pairs £15 per entry.
ARENA EVENTING: Entry Fee: £25.
ALL CLASSES: First Aid Contribution £2.00 per competitor, per day.
ARENA EVENTING RULES AND CONDITIONS
The organisers have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone attending this event. For these measures to be effective everyone present must themselves take reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. Instructions given by any Official must be obeyed. Any animal not under control or in any way constituting a danger may be asked to leave the showground. Owners enter their horses/ponies at their own risk, and it is a condition of entry that no liability of any kind attaches itself to Musketeer Events.
1. A levy of £2.00 will be charged per rider to help towards Medical Cover 2. No rider may ride more than 2 horses per class 3. A horse may only compete in one arena eventing class at Houghton International 4. The Judges and Organisers decision is final. 5. Cross Country attire, crash hats and body protectors obligatory. 6. Once a class has been entered no refund will be given. 7. All dogs must be kept on leads and please clean up after your dog. 8. In the event of any rider travelling to a show on their own, details of a contact should be left with the secretary in case of an accident. 9. Any person who fails to comply with these terms & conditions will be liable to forfeit their fees & expulsion from showground. 10. Please note: ‘The information you have provided in connection with your entry to the British Eventing Arena Eventing competition will be disclosed to British Eventing Ltd and their employees and the Organising teams of the British Eventing Arena Eventing Championships. Your data will also be disclosed to a number of third party organisations in order to provide an Online Entries system for the Finals. Your competition records will be displayed on the league table and on the British Eventing website for the final and may be displayed on the event organiser’s website, and any site owned by the provider of an Online Entries systems. Should you receive an injury as the direct result of an accident occurring whilst you are participating in any event organised by an affiliated event organiser, any medical reports relating to your condition will be passed to British Eventing. Any Medical Reports passed to British Eventing will be held on your records and passed in confidence to the UK Transport Research Lab for the purposes of safety analysis.’ SHOW JUMPING RULES AND CONDITIONS
