The course for this competition comprises six vertical obstacles placed in a straightline with two non-jumping strides between each obstacle. In indoor arenas the first two obstacles may be placed on one straight line and the last four obstacles on a different straight line. The top element of each obstacle must be a pole.
No obstacle may be set at a lower height than the obstacle preceding it.
The competition is judged under Table A not against the clock with a time limit of two minutes.
In the event of a disobedience, the competitor must restart the course at the obstacle where the error occurred, but may make his/her approach at an angle from outside the space between the obstacles and is not required or allowed to take any of the previous obstacles again.
If an obstacle is disturbed as the result of a disobedience, the procedure in Rule 251.4 must be applied, but no time penalty is incurred.
In the event of equality of faults for first place there will be up to four successive jumps-off not against the clock. The first jump-off must be over all six obstacles, but
the course may be reduced progressively for each further jump-off to a minimum of three obstacles by removing in succession first, second and third obstacles.
The Judge at his/her discretion may terminate the competition after the third jump-off. In the event of equality of faults in the final jump-off competitors are placed equal and divide the prize money.
Competitors who withdraw from or retire during a jump-off are placed equal with those who are eliminated in the same jump-off (Rules 203, 204).

For registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.
This competition takes place as a knock-out tournament in which two competitors at a time compete over separate
courses simultaneously.
The competition is judged under Table C, but with time penalties of two seconds instead of four seconds. The two
courses are set side by side in the same arena and may either be identical or built as mirror images of each other.
The start must be supervised by a separate Judge who will ensure that both competitors make a simultaneous start.
Choice of course will be decided between the two competitors by the starting judge tossing a coin.
Each course should preferably be timed with separate automatic timing, if this is available. If not, the competition
must be judged under Table A, an extra Judge must stand in line with the finish and this Judge’s decision of the
winner from each pair of competitors, if equal on faults, shall be final.

British Novice:
Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.
a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 125 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with
Rule 316.6.
b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2015 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear
qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of four years or under in the same calendar year as the British
Novice Final - in accordance with Rule 316.6
Qualifies for: KBIS Insurance British Novice Championship - Second Round. Qualifying period yearly 1st May - 30th
April inclusive.
Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jumpoff,
in at least four KBIS Insurance British Novice First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to
compete in and attend four KBIS Insurance British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize
money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class
must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification.
90cm Open:
For registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.
If combined with an open:
In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the British Novice section will be split with
two sets of prize money awarded.

Discovery:
a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 225 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with
Rule 314.6.
b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2014 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear
qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of five years or under in the same calendar year as the
Discovery Final - in accordance with Rule 314.6.
Qualifies for: Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April
inclusive.
Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jumpoff,

A competition run over two sections. The order of starting will be drawn. Open to registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members who will be 12 years or over in the current calendar year. First Section will be run under Table C, over six fences at 1.05m, each fence knocked down will incur a 4 second penalty. Competitors must proceed from the finish of the first section to start of the second section without interruption. The Second Section will be run under table A, not against the clock and comprise 4 gates which are progressively higher, first gate: 1.10m (if jumped clear, 2 seconds deducted from time in first phase), second gate: 1.15m (if jumped clear, 4 seconds deducted from time in first phase), third gate: 1.20m (if jumped clear, 6 seconds deducted from time in first phase), fourth gate: 1.25m (if jumped clear, 10 seconds deducted from time in first phase), The second section concludes at the first disobedience. Time limit 120s. The result will be determined by the fastest amended time. inclusive. Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2018 are not eligible for qualification to
the 2019 Championship.

For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid & prevent accidents occurring & must obey the instructions of the owners/agents whether written or verbal. Anvil Park Stud shall not be liable for any claim in respect of damage, loss, injury or accident to any person, horse or property howsoever caused. It shall be deemed a condition of entry that each entrant has read and understood these terms and conditions and shall indemnify Anvil Park Stud or any person acting on their behalf against any legal action arising from such an incident. No rider under the age of 4 years old permitted. All entries are on the day & payable at time of booking. All prize money won to be collected from the secretary. No refunds will be given once classes have commenced. BS Rule 76.6 may be applied. All classes to be judged in accordance with BS/qualifier rules. Judges decision is final. Hard hats to current BS EN 1384, PAS 015 or ASTM F1163 must be worn & correctly secured whilst mounted. It is recommended that back protectors are worn whilst mounted. All stallions must be kept under control at all times & not handled by anyone under 14 years. All stallions must have red/white/blue ribbon in tail. Lorries must not be mucked out onto car park. Please place muck, hay etc into area provided. No Horses are to be tied up to lorry/trailer unsupervised. No bicycles or motorcycles, except disabled scooters, anywhere on site. All dogs must be kept on leads at all times on the show ground. No ball games permitted at any time. No fires or barbeques at any time on the premises. No smoking permitted inside stables, buildings or arena premises. All children under the age of 16 years must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. All rubbish/litter to be removed from site or placed in bins provided. Any person who fails to comply with these terms & conditions will be liable to forfeit their fees & expulsion from site. In the event of any rider travelling to a show on their own, details of a contact should be left with the secretary in case of an accident
