Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of four years or under in the same calendar year as the British Novice Final - in accordance with Rule 316.6 Qualifies for: KBIS Insurance British Novice Championship - Second Round. Qualifying period yearly 1st May - 30th April inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four KBIS Insurance British Novice First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in and attend four KBIS Insurance British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification. The winner of a particular KBIS Insurance British Novice competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition. If combined with an open: In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the British Novice section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded. In Category 2 Shows the sections must always be split with two sets of prize money awarded, irrespective of starters.

Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Newcomers Final - in accordance with Rule 312.6. Four double clears will qualify for the Senior Newcomers Second Rounds. Qualifying period 1st June - 31st May inclusive. 1.10m Open: For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.

Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule - 76.6 Foxhunter section: (a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 700 points. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule 310.6 (b) For all registered horses born on or after 1 January 2011, irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of seven years or under in the same calendar year as the Foxhunter Final - in accordance with rule 310.6 Four double clears will qualify. Four Double clears will qualify for the Senior Foxhunter Second Rounds. Qualifying period: 1st June-31st May inclusive. Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2018 are not eligible for qualification to the 2019 Championship. Open section: For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.

Terms & Conditions
In the event of insufficient starters lower prizes may be withheld in accordance with Rule 76. Entries are confined to registered horses to be ridden by members in accordance with Rule 79. Owners entering horses/ponies do so entirely at their own risk and it is a condition of entry that no liability of any kind attaches itself to the British Showjumping, its committee or members of the Show Organisers or Show Ground Proprietors in any respect whatsoever. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry at their discretion. Once a class has been entered NO REFUNDS will be given under any circumstances. See Rule 79.5. Rule 82.21: No member of the British Show Jumping Association shall allow a stallion for which he is responsible as owner, lessee, authorised agent, or rider to attend a show, compete or be prepared to compete, in any show jumping competition without taking adequate precautions to ensure other horses/ponies, competitors and members of the public are not put at risk of injury. Also refer to Rule 102.11 NO ENTRIES ACCEPTED WITHOUT PAYMENT OR SIGNED CHEQUE LEFT WITH SECRETARY.

Health and Safety
The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all officials and steward. All riders when riding, whether competing or not, must wear hard hats marked BS / EN 1384, PAS015 or prefixed with ASTM or SE1 with a strap properly adjusted and fastened. Correct dress and footwear to be worn. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times. Will dog owners please note – we now have a poop scoop policy in operation, please use the bins provided.
