Times will be given for all classes and will be posted from 12pm on our website www.fair-oak.co.uk Friday March 29th or from 2 pm on Saturday March 30th at the Secretaries tent for those walking the course. Please Note: Failure to report to the starter at the correct time, will risk elimination.
The course can be walked the day before the event between 2pm and 7 pm. NO DOGS ALLOWED

ENTRIES ON THE DAY ARE £10.00 EXTRA IF SPACE PERMITS
JUDGING: Winners will be those with the least number of penalty jumping faults over the cross country and, thereafter time penalties nearest to the optimum time of the cross country course or timed section. (metres per minute per Class will be posted on the day).

Payment is secure and it goes directly to Fair Oak.
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.
A £2 returnable deposit is required for the numbers, please bring the correct change.

Special Classes
Classes 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be qualifiers for the Horseware National Hunter Trials Finals’ which will take place at Eland Lodge at the end of September 2019.

Withdrawals/Refunds
The Entry fee less £5 will only be refunded if withdrawal is notified to the secretary by 6pm Wednesday 29th March and is supported by a veterinary certificate or a doctor’s certificate and a SAE within 7 days. In the event of cancellation of the competition prior to the day entry fees will be refunded less £5 on receipt of SAE within 14 days to cover expenses. Should the organisers have to cancel the event on the day for whatever reason then NO REFUND will be given. Organisers reserve the right to cancel and / or amend any of the classes / sections as they feel fit and to refuse any entry without giving a reason. Entries will be done on a strictly first come basis and a waiting list will be held in the event of oversubscription to any section and any fees will be returned if withdrawals do not occur. All horses must have a current flu vaccination certificate.

1. This event will be run under BHS Riding Club Rules 2019 edition.
2. Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers, nor Fair Oak, nor any employee nor any person acting on their behalf, accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators or any other persons or cars and contents or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.
3. The organisers and owners of Fair Oak have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of everyone who uses the course. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take reasonable care to avoid and prevent accidents occurring, and must obey the rules and instructions from officials.
4. Hats - BSI Kite marked PAS 015 or VG1 or ASTM F1163 04a (onwards) or SNELL E2001 must be worn at all times when mounted, with the chinstrap fastened. Hats tagged SOLELY with BS EN 1384 are NO LONGER PERMITTED. PLEASE NOTE NO HATS WITH ANY TYPE OF PEAK WILL BE PERMITTED FOR XC. Back protectors Level 3 (Purple Label) 2000 or 2008 must be worn on the Cross Country Course.
5. Entries: The Entry fee less £6.50 will only be refunded if withdrawal is notified to the secretary by 6pm Wednesday 27th March and is supported by a veterinary certificate or a doctor’s certificate and a SAE within 7 days. Should the organisers have to cancel the event on the day for whatever reason then NO REFUND will be given. Organisers reserve the right to cancel and / or amend any of the classes / sections as they feel fit and to refuse any entry without giving a reason. 6. If eliminated during the Cross Country, competitors may complete the course, but must make the way clear for any following horse and the rider must obey any instructions or orders from officials. In the interests of safety if a second elimination takes place the rider must not carry on and must leave the course at a walk.

8. Wealden Medical Services will be on site to provide Pre-Hospital Trauma Care during this event if required, all competitors confirm that they are fit to compete in this event and that they consent to any treatment which may be given, advised or offered by the WMS trauma team. A medical armband must be worn for the cross country.
9. A £2 returnable deposit is required for the numbers, please bring the correct change.
10. Any objections must be made to the Secretary in writing within 10 minutes of the scores of that section being posted and must be accompanied by a cash deposit of £20 which will be returned if the objection is sustained. Video Evidence will NOT be accepted in support of an objection.
11. The course can be walked the day before the event between 2pm and 7 pm. NO DOGS ALLOWED 12. Please do not muck out horse-boxes on site and please take all litter home with you.

DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE COURSE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES EITHER ON THE EVENT DAY OR WHEN WALKING THE COURSE.
