Starting Times: Times for this years’ championship will be available on the website www.valeviewequestrian.co.uk on Tuesday 4thth September after 12 noon. Please make sure that you are ready to compete at your allotted time as we CANNOT wait for you if you are not ready. We will not be able to slot you in later, unless there has been a withdrawal. Please be reminded that there are no refunds once entered, and times have been published.

All classes are open to **Qualified combinations only**
Entries close Tuesday 4thth September, late entry fee £12 extra. Please note, entries on the day will NOT be accepted.
OPTIMUM TIME 375 Metres per minute for Class 1 and 2 400 Metres per minute for Class 3 and 4
Show Jumping is not timed - XC phase is timed You must go through the start & finish gates for XC phase
ABSOLUTELY NO STOPWATCHES TO BE WORN AND NO OUTSIDE ASSISTANCE TO BE GIVEN – if deemed to be assisted the combination will be eliminated Penalties for over or under optimum time at .5 per second
Body Protectors are COMPULSORY as this course will include some fixed fences.

Competition location: All numbers must be collected from the secretary in the office and worn in a cross country bib. These can be purchased from Buckaroo Equine, or the secretary at £10 per bib. The warm up will be in the National Arena which is situated by the café. The steward will have a copy of the start list, and will send you down to the International Arena when it is time for your round. Please make sure you report to the steward when you arrive for your warm up, so that they know you are there. Please ensure that you are wearing your body protector, and hat without a fixed peak; please note that Hat-Cams are not permitted under any circumstances.
Parking: For lorries it will be in our main lorry park, please park cars if possible in front of the main building.

Payment Details & Event Fees
Entries taken on the day if spaces available, contact the office to confirm. To enter:

A: You can enter using a Secure Online Entry System:
Payment is secure and it goes directly Vale View Equestrian.
You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.

B: Complete the Entry Form and return to the Secretary together with your cheque made payable "Vale View Equestrian".

C: Call the office and enter using your credit card on 01664 823739.

Entry Fee: £45 per class & £4 per rider first aid – No entries on the day
LATE Entry Fee: Additional £12 per class per rider

Stabling Information: Yes
Stabling: Is available. shavings at £40 per night. Extra shavings may be purchased from the secretary at £7.50 per bale. Please make sure that your stable is mucked out and left clean when you leave. The muck heap is located on the yard.

Prize Information
Prize Giving: Will take place in the International Arena. Please see the times on the start list for presentation times. If you are in the top ten, please report to the small outdoor school (preferably mounted, unless it is not safe for you to do so) to receive your rosettes before entering the main arena for presentation with the sponsors. You must attend the prize giving otherwise you will forfeit your prize. Please take time while you are here to Buckaroo Equine – sponsors of class 1.

Most of our sponsors will be attending the show, either to watch and present prizes, or with trade stands – please make sure you show your thanks by visiting them.

Refreshments:
Café: The café in the main building will be open for this competition from 8am serving breakfast, (Bacon/Sausage cob, breakfast roll, burgers, jacket potatoes, cold filled rolls and ice creams). The bar will also be open and will be serving tea, coffee, hot chocolate, Baileys coffee and a selection of alcoholic beverages.

Withdrawals/Refunds
No refunds once booked (this includes stabling fees).

Terms & Conditions
1. The winner of each competition will be the closest to the optimum time and least penalties. Penalties are converted to time; placings after double clears will go to the fastest TOTAL time. 2. The first 6 in each class will qualify for the final, qualification will move down the line to the next eligible combination. 3. Eligibility to compete: Class Restrictions Intro (70cm) Horse not to have run in a BE Novice. Pre-Novice (80cm) Horse not to have run in a BE Novice. Novice (90cm) Horse not to have any BE points (other than Foundation Points. Intermediate (1m) 4. Championship – at the championship, any horse/rider combination may compete in a maximum of 2 consecutive height classes. 5. Combinations who have won the championships at the same level for two consecutive years, will not be allowed to compete in the championships at that level for a third time. 6. Objections as to eligibility for any class must be lodged with the secretary with a £30 deposit (Refundable if proven) within 10 minutes of the class finishing. 7. Skull Caps to standard PAS015 or SEI ASTM F1163 04a onwards and SNELL E2001 must be worn. Hats with a fixed peak are not permitted. SJ or XC attire can be work. Body Protectors are compulsory. Anyone starting the course without a Body protector will be eliminated. Hat-cams are not permitted. 8. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. 9. Any competitor will be disqualified for dangerous riding, misuse of whips or spurs, or abusive conduct towards the judges, marshalls or the secretary. This will be a joint decision made by the judge & one member of the organising committee. 10. All entry fees are non-refundable unless a veterinary certificate is presented before the commencement of the class. 11. Show Jumping phase will be run under current BS rules (I.e. 2 refusals = Elimination) 12. XC phase will run under Vale View Equestrian rules. 2 penalties for a knockdown, 20 penalties for refusal, run out or crossing of tracks, 40 penalties for 2nd refusal etc, elimination for 3rd refusal etc. Elimination for a fall of horse or rider. 13. Any combination eliminated in the show jumping phase will not be allowed to continue onto the XC phase. 14. The organisers, or anyone acting on their behalf, shall not be liable for any accident, damage, theft or injury to persons attending the event or to animals or property however caused. All persons competing do so entirely at their own risk. 15. Submission of an entry will be deemed to include acceptance of these conditions. No entry will be accepted without the correct entry fee.
