Note: Protective boots or bandages may be worn for the jumping phase but must be removed for the showing phase. No other change of tack or rider is permitted. Martingales may be worn. Rules for Style and Performance
All sections to be judged 40% turnout of horse/pony and rider (total 40 marks), 60% for a freestyle show to be performed in an area approx. 20m x 40m
The individual show should be short and flowing. Please note, dressage whips are not permitted and children are not allowed to wear spurs.
The tack and turnout of the horse/pony should be appropriate to the type of horse/pony being presented. The rider should dress appropriately for the type of horse/pony being presented.
Dress code as per affiliated showing classes does not have to be strictly adhered to - the overall impression is of most importance.
DRESS CODE FOR SUPREME CHAMPS
Evening performance wear is permitted. Any top hats worn must be by riders over 16 and sign a form at the Secretary BEFORE entering the ring. You will NOT be allowed in without it. This is applicable to both in hand and ridden. Wear as much bling as you like.
The Concours d'Elegance class at the Championships can be either Historical Dress or Traditional, just NO fancy dress or ball gowns
