Bridleway rides with routes of 7.5 or 12 miles (Distances are approximate and may be subject to change)
Please note both distances involve crossing the M1 twice on bridleway bridges with parapets
This ride is on marked routes on public bridle paths with some roadwork on country and village roads, with limited stewarding of road crossings. Maps will be provided in advance and the routes marked with spray paint on the ground. The wooded sections of the ride should give you a great chance to admire the lovely bluebells!
Directions to the venue, ride briefing and electronic map of the routes, will be emailed to you by Thurs 10th May. We will also email you if we need to contact you, for example in the case of cancellation.

MAIN RULES:
The ride is on public rights of way – all riders must show consideration to other participants and to other users of the public rights of way. Please ask for permission before overtaking another rider or other user.
Be prepared for the normal hazards that may be expected when hacking on public rights of way such as traffic, farm machinery, dogs, bicycles etc.
Riders must wear Hard Hats with fastened chinstraps and proper footwear. Hats that meet the PAS 015, SNELL 2001 or ASTM F1163 standard are strongly recommended, as is a body protector.
You may ride in groups of no more than 5 riders.
Riders under 16 years of age on the day of the ride must be accompanied by an adult of 18 years or over, with a maximum ratio of two children to each adult.
At least one member of each group must carry a fully charged mobile phone whose number has been advised to the ride organiser.
All riders should be capable of riding in canter off the lead rein in an open space under control.
Riders must obey the instructions of stewards and officials, including retiring their horse if the official asks them to do so.
By entering the ride you accept the rules of the ride.

Payment is secure and it goes directly to BHS Bedfordshire.
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.

£15 per entry in advance (by Friday 4th May) or £20 on the day.

LIABILITY:
Neither the Organisers nor the venue owners, nor any person acting on their behalf, accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horses, competitors, spectators, or any person or property whatsoever. A risk assessment will be available for inspection.
All entrants must have adequate public liability insurance (such as that provided to BHS Gold members) and by entering the ride you confirm that this is the case.
Entrants are responsible for any veterinary, medical or other costs incurred, whether requested directly or via event stewards or organisers.
I agree to abide by the rules of the ride and confirm I have 3rd party liability insurance
